Product details - Viscosity cup made of anodised aluminium with ISO PCE Instruments polished finish

Product description:

  • Viscosity cup model ISO PCE, made of anodised aluminium with high quality polish and finish.
  • Available in a choice of four models.
  • The cylindrical hollow body is machined with an interchangeable stainless steel nozzle.
  • It is mainly used to determine the viscosity of Newtonian or near-Newtonian liquids.
  • The structure is in accordance with DIN 53224.
  • It has an overflow channel, which allows clean working.
  • The following steps are necessary for the measurement:
    • First, the nozzle is kept closed and the cup is filled with the substance to be measured (the cup must be filled to the top). The overflow channel prevents the measurement from being falsified by liquid that may run out.
    • Afterwards, the glass plate should be passed over the cup to remove the excess material.
    • At this point, the nozzle must be opened. Due to the depression generated, the material remains in the cup.
    • The glass plate must then be removed horizontally and the timer activated. When the flow is interrupted for the first time, the stopwatch must be stopped.
  • The cup must be cleaned thoroughly and kept in optimum condition, otherwise measurement errors will occur.
  • Included in delivery is an ISO viscosity cup, a calibration certificate, a glass plate and instructions for use.
  • Optional V-shaped tripod.
  • Overall dimensions are 50 mm inside diameter, 85 mm outside diameter and 85 mm high.
  • Approximate weight 310 g.
  • Complies with International Standard ISO 2431, DIN 53224, EN 535, ASTM D5125.
