Product details - Viscosity cup made of anodised aluminium with satin finish Ford PCE Instruments

Product description:

  • Ford PCE model viscosity cup, made of anodised aluminium with satin finish.
  • Available in a choice of two models.
  • The cylindrical hollow body is machined with an interchangeable stainless steel nozzle.
  • It is mainly used to determine the viscosity of liquids, quickly and easily.
    • Solo applicable for low viscous liquids.
  • The structure is DIN-compliant.
  • It has an overflow channel, which allows clean working.
  • The following steps must be followed to carry out the measurement:
    • First, the nozzle is kept closed and the cup is filled with the substance to be measured (the cup must be filled to the top). The overflow channel prevents the measurement from being falsified by liquid that may run out.
    • Afterwards, the glass plate should be passed over the cup to remove the excess material.
    • At this point, the nozzle must be opened. Due to the depression generated, the material remains in the cup.
    • The glass plate must then be removed horizontally and the timer activated. When the flow is interrupted for the first time, the stopwatch must be stopped.
  • The cup must be cleaned thoroughly and kept in optimum condition, otherwise measurement errors will occur.
  • Included in delivery is a Ford viscosity cup, a calibration certificate, a glass plate and instructions for use.
  • Optional tripod.
  • Overall dimensions are 50 mm inside diameter, 85 mm outside diameter and 76 mm high.
  • Approximate weight 320 g.
  • Meets ASTM International Standard: D1200, D333 and D365.

Optional:

  • Ford Model 125/3 PCE
    • Inner vertical height: 43 ±0,1 mm.
    • Inner nozzle Ø: 3.4 mm.
    • Outside nozzle Ø: 5.5 ±0.5 mm.
    • Measuring range (mm²/s): 49 to 220.
    • Flow time (sec.) ±0.2: 25 to 105.

  • Model Ford 125/4 PCE
    • Inner vertical height: 43 ±0.1 mm.
    • Nozzle inner Ø: 4.1 mm.
    • Outside nozzle Ø: 6.0 ±0.5 mm.
