- Knocks or pinch injuries from the handle, and pinch points in telescopic handles or wringing systems.
- The head detaching during use if not properly secured.
- Strain to the back, wrists or shoulders from awkward postures or repetitive movements.
- Scratches or damage to delicate floors if the head is dirty with grit or not suitable for the surface.

Safe use
- Secure the head and check that the handle or telescopic lock is firmly fixed before starting.
- Wring out excess water to avoid puddles and reduce the risk of slipping.
- Clean in sections and avoid stepping on the surface until it is completely dry; keep children and pets away.
- Avoid hitting furniture, walls and skirting boards with the handle; operate the mop with control.
- Adjust the handle length (if adjustable) to work with a straight back and without strain.
- If using cleaners, ventilate the room, wear gloves where appropriate and do not mix products.
- Remove hard particles (sand, glass shards) first with a broom or vacuum to avoid scratching the floor.
- Do not bring the wet mop close to sockets, extension leads or electrical appliances; disconnect them before cleaning around them.
Storage and maintenance
- Rinse the head after each use until all detergent and dirt residues are removed.
- Wring thoroughly and allow to air-dry upright or hanging, in a ventilated place.
- Wash the head following the manufacturer's instructions and replace it when it is very worn, frayed or has a persistent odour.
- Periodically check threads, clips and handle joints; tighten or replace parts if there is any play.
- Store the mop in a dry place and out of walkways to avoid trips or falls.
- Do not put weight on the handle to avoid warping or breakage.
- Separate and label mops or refills for different areas (e.g., bathroom and kitchen) to avoid cross-contamination.
Restrictions of use
- Not a toy: do not allow children to use it without supervision.
- Do not use on electrical appliances, cables or sockets that are connected to the mains.
- Do not use if the handle is cracked or if the head is not firmly secured.
- Do not use to pick up glass or sharp objects that could snag and cause injury.
- Do not use with cleaners that are unsuitable for the floor type; if in doubt, test in a discreet area.
- Do not use in contact with food or for personal hygiene.
- Do not store the mop damp in enclosed spaces for long periods.
