Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Spoilage of food due to loss of cold, with a potential risk of food poisoning.
- Spills and condensation that may cause slips, mould and unpleasant odours.
- Finger trapping and pinching when closing rigid lids or zips.
- Injuries from overloading or from broken handles/straps when carrying excessive weight.
- Puncturing of soft bags by sharp objects and liquid leakage.
- Irritation or cold burn when touching ice or ice packs directly on the skin.
- Attraction of insects or animals if food residues or open containers remain.
- Risk to children if they play inside large rigid cool boxes or with the lid closed.
Safe use
- Pre-chill food and drinks; use pre-frozen ice packs or ice to load the cool bag/cool box.
- Keep the lid or zip closed and minimise openings to preserve the cold.
- Keep raw foods separate from ready-to-eat items in leak-proof containers to avoid cross-contamination.
- Distribute the ice packs and fill gaps to improve cold retention.
- Monitor the condition of the food; if it is not kept cold, consume it soon or discard it.
- Handle ice and ice packs with a cloth or thin gloves to avoid prolonged direct contact with the skin.
- Carefully drain meltwater and dry spills to prevent slips and bad odours.
- Do not use dry ice or chemical refrigerants unless expressly specified by the manufacturer and with adequate ventilation.
- Check the weight before lifting; distribute the load and use both hands or seek assistance if necessary.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean after each use with warm water and mild soap; rinse and dry the interior and seals completely.
- Air with the lid ajar until completely dry to prevent mould and odours.
- Remove any food residues and meltwater immediately.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources that may deform or degrade the insulation.
- Store in a dry place, without weight on top and without forced folds that could damage the lining.
- Check zips, fasteners, handles and seals regularly; do not use the product if they are damaged.
- Avoid scouring pads or abrasive products, concentrated bleach and solvents that could damage the interior.
- Do not pierce gel ice packs or ingest their contents; replace them if swollen or leaking.
Restrictions on use
- Not suitable for keeping perishable foods for prolonged periods without replenishing the cold.
- Do not use to transport medicines or other products that require strict and continuous temperature control.
- Do not sit, stand or use as a step unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer.

- Do not use with dry ice or other refrigerants not intended by the manufacturer.
- Do not store cutting tools without sheaths, nor corrosive or flammable substances.
- Keep out of reach of young children and do not allow them to play inside rigid cool boxes.
- Outdoors, do not leave food scraps or waste to avoid attracting wildlife.
