Main risks
- Electric shock from plugs, cables or wet or damaged connections.
- Burns from steam and hot water when opening during or immediately after the cycle.
- Cuts when handling knives and sharp utensils in the racks.
- Skin, eye or respiratory irritation from contact with detergents and rinse aids.
- Leaks and overflows that can cause slippery floors, falls and water damage.
- Entrapment or pinching in the door, hinges and rack rails.
- Tipping over if sitting or placing weight on the open door.
- Damage to crockery or breakage due to unsuitable programmes/temperatures or items not dishwasher-safe.
- Odours, smoke or overheating due to internal blockages or misuse.
Safe use
- Install the appliance on a stable, level surface, with hoses and connections in good condition and free of kinks.
- Connect it to a suitable, dry mains socket; avoid multi-socket adaptors, extension leads and crushed or taut cables.
- Do not handle the plug with wet hands or move the appliance by pulling the cable.
- Load without obstructing the spray arms; place knives with the point facing down or in dedicated trays.
- Use only dishwasher-safe detergents and rinse aids and dose as indicated by the product manufacturer; do not mix cleaners.
- Remove large food residues and do not insert solvents, oils, ashes, waxes or cloths soaked in them.
- Close the door completely before starting the cycle and avoid opening during operation; if you need to open it, do so carefully and keep your face away because of the steam.
- After finishing, let it cool for a few minutes and unload from the lower rack to the upper rack to prevent drips onto clean crockery.
- If you notice a burning smell, sparks, leaks or unusual noises, stop use, disconnect from the mains and shut off the water supply until the cause is checked.
- Activate the child lock if your model includes it and keep detergents out of the reach of children.
Storage and maintenance
- Disconnect from the mains and shut off the water supply before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance.
- Regularly clean the filter, seals and spray arms to prevent blockages and unpleasant odours.
- Dry the door seal and, if possible, leave the door ajar after use to ventilate the interior.
- Periodically check hoses, seals and connections; replace any component that is cracked, swollen or leaking.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, steam jets or high-pressure sprays, and concentrated bleach that could damage surfaces and seals.
- If the water is very hard, carry out periodic descaling following the instructions of the appliance manufacturer or the treatment products.
- If it will not be used for a while, empty, clean and dry the interior, leave the door ajar and shut off the water supply; protect it from frost.
Restrictions of use
- For indoor and domestic use; do not expose the appliance to rain, frost or high temperatures.
- Do not wash items that are not dishwasher-safe, such as wood, special-blade knives, cast iron, parts glued with heat-sensitive adhesives, very fine or decorated glass, non-anodised aluminium or copper.
- Do not use the dishwasher if the cable, plug, door, racks, latch or hoses are damaged.
- Do not sit, stand or place weight on the door or on pulled-out racks.
- Do not modify the appliance or block water inlets or outlets; do not cover grilles or openings.
- Do not overload the racks; arrange the crockery to avoid impacts and breakage.
- Keep children and pets away during operation and loading/unloading; supervise people with reduced capabilities when using the appliance.
