Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Burns from water that is too hot or from sudden temperature changes when operating the trigger.
- Leaks or hose rupture due to wear or overpressure, with a risk of flooding.
- Water contamination if the nozzle is submerged or touches the inside of the toilet or bidet.
- Splashes and wet floors that may cause slips and falls.
- Injury to sensitive skin, wounds or eyes from a concentrated jet or use at excessive pressure.
- Water hammer and noise in the plumbing when opening or closing abruptly.
- Frost damage if water remains inside at low temperatures.
Safe use
- Before directing the spray at the body, let the water run for a few seconds and adjust the temperature and flow gradually.
- Hold the sprayer firmly and do not point it at the face or eyes; use a gentle spray on sensitive areas.
- Keep the nozzle above the rim of the fixture; avoid submerging it or letting it come into contact with dirty surfaces.
- After each use, close the unit's isolation valve and press the trigger to release residual pressure.
- Open and close the valve handles gently to reduce water hammer and sudden hose movement.
- Always place the sprayer in its holder; do not leave it hanging or resting where it could slip.
- Wipe up floor splashes immediately to prevent falls.
- Do not use the spray on open wounds, skin irritations or areas with recent treatments.
- Do not direct the spray towards sockets, electrical appliances or other hazards.
- If you notice drips, cracks or bulges in the hose or trigger, do not use the unit until it has been checked.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically check the hose, seals, trigger, holder and connections; hand-tighten if you detect any looseness.
- Replace the hose, seals or sprayer if there are cracks, bulges, corrosion or persistent dripping.
- Clean the nozzle with mild cleaners to remove limescale; avoid scouring pads and aggressive chemicals, and rinse thoroughly.
- Keep the sprayer and hose dry and without sharp kinks; avoid pulling that could damage the connections.
- Protect from direct sunlight and heat sources that accelerate material ageing.
- In cold areas, drain the water from the unit or shut off the supply and protect against frost.
- If the model includes an aerator or filters, clean them periodically according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Before prolonged absences, close the stopcock and, on return, check for leaks.
Restrictions of use
- Not suitable for consumption; do not drink water from the sprayer or use it to prepare food.
- Do not use the sprayer with liquids other than water or introduce cleaning products through it.
- Do not leave the system permanently under pressure; do not lock the trigger in the open position.
- Do not modify the product or add accessories or adapters that are not compatible with the unit.
- Keep out of the reach of children; if they use it, only under adult supervision.
- Do not use the unit if you detect leaks, loose parts or a malfunctioning trigger; shut off the water until it is resolved.
- Avoid using it for purposes other than toilet/bidet hygiene without carefully controlling temperature and pressure.
- Do not direct the spray at babies, dependants or pets without strict control, due to the risk of startling or burns.
