Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Drowning, especially in children, due to accidental falls or unsupervised use.
  • Slips and falls on wet surfaces around the spa.
  • Hyperthermia, dehydration, dizziness or low blood pressure due to high temperature or prolonged use.
  • Entrapment of hair, clothing or accessories in suction grilles or jets.
  • Skin, eye or respiratory irritation from incorrectly dosed disinfectants or unbalanced water.
  • Electrical hazard due to damaged equipment or connections, or from using electrical devices near water.
  • Injuries from impacts when entering or exiting, or from poorly fitted or unlocked covers.
  • Equipment deterioration and possible leaks due to frost, intense sun exposure or improper handling of chemicals.
  • Bacterial growth if the water is not properly filtered and disinfected.

Safe use

  • Place the spa on a stable, level base with adequate load-bearing capacity as specified by the manufacturer.
  • Monitor the temperature and limit bathing time; stay hydrated and leave the water if you feel dizzy, drowsy or unwell.
  • Enter and exit slowly using steps or handrails if available; do not jump or dive head-first.
  • Keep children's heads above the water at all times and avoid play near grilles; do not block suction inlets.
  • Tie up long hair and avoid loose clothing or dangling items that could snag.
  • Do not use the spa during electrical storms or when the water is cloudy, has persistent foam or a strong chemical odour.
  • Keep electrical appliances, extension leads and chargers away from the edge; do not operate switches or plugs with wet hands or while wet.
  • If the model requires a fixed connection, electrical installation and any repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Close and lock the cover after each use and whenever the spa is unattended.
  • Observe the maximum bather capacity and water level specified by the manufacturer.

Storage and maintenance

  • Keep the water clean with filtration and disinfection as per the manufacturer's instructions; clean or replace the filters at the recommended frequency.
  • Handle chemicals with gloves and in a ventilated area; do not mix products or exceed the recommended doses.
  • Before any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the spa from the power supply.
  • Periodically check nozzles, caps, grilles, steps and the cover; replace any damaged parts immediately.
  • Cover the spa when not in use to prevent dirt and to deter unauthorised access.
  • In cold climates or during long periods without use, drain the water and protect pipes and components from freezing according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Store chemicals in their original containers, sealed, in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
  • Avoid pouring very hot water or highly concentrated disinfectant into areas that could be damaged.

Restrictions on use

  • Use only under constant adult supervision for minors and non-swimmers.
  • Not suitable for young children without appropriate flotation aids and continuous supervision; never allow them to play alone in the spa or its surroundings.
  • Avoid use under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines that cause drowsiness.
  • Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or have heart problems, blood pressure issues, epilepsy, skin conditions or reduced mobility.
  • Do not use the spa if you have open wounds or skin infections.
  • Keep pets out of the spa and off the cover.
  • Do not use the spa if you detect leaks, damaged cables, a burning smell, heavy impacts to the shell or abnormal operation.
  • Restrict access when not in use by means of a locking cover and, if necessary, physical barriers.
