Tool Organization and Storage

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Tools falling from height or hooks/modules coming loose if incorrectly fitted.
  • Tipping of trolleys, shelving or panels that are unanchored or overloaded.
  • Cuts and punctures when reaching for exposed blades, bits or points.
  • Finger trapping in drawers, lids, hinges, or when joining magnetic parts.
  • Strain and injury when lifting or moving heavy organisers.
  • Unintended movement of trolleys due to lack of brakes or uneven floors.
  • Damage to cards and electronic devices, and interference with medical devices, due to strong magnets.
  • Corrosion or moisture-related degradation that reduces the strength of the assembly.

Safe use

  • Secure properly to the wall or bench with screws and wall plugs appropriate to the material; check the fixing before loading.
  • Observe the maximum load and distribute the weight: heavy items low down and close to the fixing points.
  • Use hooks, trays and dividers compatible with the system; do not improvise fixings.
  • Store cutting tools with guards or with the edge oriented safely; avoid them protruding.
  • Close and lock drawers and doors before moving; engage the wheel brakes.
  • Do not hang power tools by the cord; unplug or remove the battery before storing them.
  • With magnetic organisers, handle carefully to avoid pinching and maintain a safe distance from cards and sensitive equipment.
  • Keep walkways clear; use a stable ladder to access high areas, without climbing onto the unit.
  • Wear gloves when assembling, anchoring or repositioning metal parts to reduce the risk of cuts.
  • Check adhesives or suction cups and do not use them for heavy loads unless explicitly indicated.

Storage and maintenance

  • Install on level surfaces and, for wall mounting, on walls in good condition; avoid areas with persistent damp unless the model is rated for it.
  • Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid aggressive solvents that may damage finishes or plastics.
  • Inspect fixings, screws, hooks, runners, hinges and wheels; retighten and replace worn, deformed or rusty parts.
  • Lightly lubricate the drawer runners when necessary and keep rails and tracks free of dust and swarf.
  • Protect against corrosion: wipe up spills and apply anti-corrosion products where appropriate.
  • Before moving heavy trolleys, close the drawers and, if necessary, partially unload to improve stability.
  • Rebalance the layout when adding new tools to avoid localised overloading.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not use as a ladder, bench, seat or work platform.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load or hang from rails, shelves or hooks.
  • Do not store flammable liquids, gases or hazardous chemicals except in cabinets designed for that purpose.
  • Do not install outdoors or in corrosive environments unless models specifically rated for it are used.
  • Do not modify the structure or drill into critical areas; use only accessories compatible with the system.
  • Do not place magnetic organisers near your chest if you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical devices; keep them away from cards and electronic keys.
  • Keep out of the reach of children and lock if dangerous tools are stored; supervision is required when children are present.
  • Do not move trolleys with drawers open or on steep ramps.
