Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Soap spills that can leave the worktop or floor slippery and lead to falls.
- Splashes into eyes or onto sensitive skin that may cause irritation.
- Accidental ingestion by children or pets.
- Leaks or drips in the under-sink cabinet that promote damp, mould and damage to the wood.
- Blockages in the nozzle or tube that may cause sudden spurts or malfunction.
- Cuts or pinched fingers when installing or handling metal or plastic parts.
- Damage to the sink or worktop due to improper drilling or over-tightening the fixings.
- Contamination of the soap from dirty reservoirs or poorly sealed refills.
- Risk of affecting nearby electrical sockets or appliances if spills occur under the sink.
Safe use
- Follow the product instructions for assembly and everyday use.
- Fill only with liquid kitchen or hand soap; avoid formulations that are too thick or contain particles that could clog the system.
- Do not mix different products in the reservoir; empty and rinse before switching to a different soap.
- During refilling, protect the worktop and wipe up any spills immediately to prevent slips and staining.
- Operate the pump with moderate pressure and aim the nozzle towards the sink or sponge to prevent splashes.
- Do not force threads or over-tighten nuts or rings; ensure the assembly is secure but not under tension.
- After refilling, make several test presses and check that there are no drips underneath.
- If it becomes blocked, do not force the pump: rinse the nozzle and tube with warm water until flow is restored.
- Avoid filling or cleaning with very hot liquids that may warp components.
- When working under the sink, keep the area dry and away from electrical sockets or cables; dry any drips immediately.
Storage and maintenance
- Store soap refills sealed, in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and out of the reach of children and pets.
- Keep the reservoir tightly closed to prevent contamination and evaporation of the product.
- Regularly clean the exterior and the nozzle with a soft cloth; avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.
- Empty and rinse the reservoir periodically to prevent build-up, bad odours and microbial growth.
- Check seals, tubes and joints periodically; replace any worn or cracked parts.
- Inspect the inside of the under-sink cabinet to detect damp or leaks early.
- Dry the area around the dispenser after each cleaning to minimise staining and corrosion.
- If it will not be used for an extended period, empty, rinse and allow to dry before storing it or leaving it inactive.
Restrictions on use
- Use only with liquid household soaps and detergents compatible with dispensers.
- Do not use with corrosive substances, concentrated bleach, solvents, fuels, oils, or very thick gels or those containing particles.
- Do not use to dispense food or beverages.
- Do not allow children to use it without proper supervision.
- Do not install by drilling into surfaces without appropriate tools and experience; avoid fragile materials that could break.
- Before drilling, check that there are no water or gas pipes or electrical cables in the area.
- Do not place near sources of direct heat or flames.
- Do not use if there are cracks, a broken nozzle, loose fixings, or persistent leaks; repair or replace the affected unit.
