Main risks
- Risk of electric shock if used near water or with wet hands.
- Burns from very hot air or from contact with the nozzle and hot attachments.
- Overheating and fire if the vents are blocked, the appliance is covered, or it is used on soft surfaces.
- Dropping the appliance into a bath or washbasin containing water, posing a serious safety risk.
- Hair, dust or fabrics getting caught in the air intake grille.
- Damage to the power cord from pulling, bending or crushing that may expose internal wiring.
- Discomfort to ears and eyes from directing the airflow directly at them.
- Risk when used near aerosols, hair sprays or flammable materials.
Safe use
- Use the dryer in a dry environment, away from baths, showers and washbasins.
- Dry your hands before plugging it in or handling it; connect it to a mains socket in good condition.
- Keep a safe distance from the scalp and skin; do not concentrate heat on one spot for too long.
- Do not cover or block the vents; avoid resting the dryer while it is running.
- Keep hair, fingers and fabrics away from the intake; use attachments correctly fitted.
- If the appliance falls into water, do not touch it: disconnect it from the mains first, then remove it.
- Unplug after each use and before cleaning or changing attachments; allow it to cool on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Stop using it if you notice a burning smell, smoke, sparks or unusual noises.
- Avoid extension leads in the bathroom or damp areas and do not direct hot air at the eyes or ears.
Storage and maintenance
- Allow it to cool completely before storing, and do not cover it while it is hot.
- Store it in a dry place, away from moisture and splashes.
- Clean the intake filter/grille periodically to remove lint and hair, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Check the power cord and plug regularly; if they are damaged, do not use the appliance.
- Do not wrap the cord tightly around the body of the dryer; avoid kinks at the cord exit point.
- Keep attachments clean and firmly secured; replace any that are deformed or cracked.
- Do not immerse the appliance or use abrasive products to clean it; use a slightly damp cloth with the plug disconnected.
Usage restrictions
- Not suitable for young children; children should only use it under adult supervision.
- Persons with reduced physical, sensory or cognitive capabilities should use it with supervision where necessary.
