  • Falls due to wet or slippery floors and trips over cables, hoses or bases.
  • Toppling of heavy or unstable structures and detachment of decorative pieces.
  • Cuts or pinching injuries when handling edges, stones, glass or the pump.
  • Drowning risk to young children and pets in deep reservoirs or ponds.
  • Proliferation of mosquitoes, algae and bad odours due to stagnant water.
  • Frost damage that may cause cracks and leaks.

Safe use

  • Install the fountain on a firm, level surface, with clear access routes and the upper parts securely fixed.
  • Use only pumps, lights and connections rated for outdoor use; protect plugs and connections from splashes and from contact with the ground.
  • Disconnect from the mains before assembling, refilling, cleaning or moving the fountain; do not handle cables with wet hands.
  • Keep the water level within the recommended range to prevent the pump from running dry.
  • Refresh the water regularly and remove algae, leaves and sediment to prevent blockages, odours and mosquitoes.
  • Adjust the flow rate and the direction of the jet to reduce splashes onto walkways or sockets.
  • Use only cleaning products or treatments compatible with decorative fountains and follow the recommended dosages; keep chemicals out of reach of children and pets.
  • Closely supervise children and pets around the fountain; use barriers or covers if there is depth.

Storage and maintenance

  • Always drain the fountain and disconnect it before any maintenance or moving.
  • Clean the pump, pre-filters and nozzles regularly to prevent blockages, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Check cables, plugs, seals and hoses; replace immediately any part that is cracked, hardened or damaged.
  • In freezing climates, drain the water completely and store the pump indoors in a dry place; protect the basin to prevent ice from cracking it.
  • Control limescale and other deposits with products suitable for the fountain's material to avoid damage.
  • Keep the surrounding area clear of leaves and dirt that could block the water intake or make the ground slippery.
  • Dispose of removed water via a suitable drain, especially if it contains treatments.

Restrictions of use

  • Do not sit, climb or lean on the fountain or on its edges or decorative elements.
  • Do not run the pump without water or obstruct its inlets or outlets while it is operating.
  • Do not add oils, soaps, dyes or other substances not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Do not allow children to use the fountain as a play or paddling area; never leave them unsupervised.
  • Do not connect equipment not suitable for outdoor use or use makeshift connections or damaged cables.
  • Do not place the fountain on unstable edges, steep slopes or narrow walkways.
  • Do not allow pets to drink if the water contains treatments.
  • Do not use the fountain during severe storms; unplug it if very strong winds or hail are forecast.
