Warnings and safety precautions

Main risks

  • Electric shock from damaged cables or adaptors, liquid spills, or internal handling of the unit.
  • Pinching or entrapment on the rotating platter, the belt, or the dust cover hinges.
  • Minor cuts or pricks from the stylus and delicate cartridge parts.
  • Hearing damage from high volume levels on speakers or headphones.
  • Unit tipping or falling due to unstable surfaces, vibrations, or accidental tugs on cables.
  • Overheating if the power adaptor is covered or placed near heat sources.
  • Damage to records and stylus due to dirt, impacts, or improper tonearm use.

Safe use

  • Place the turntable on a firm, level, vibration-free surface; leave space for tonearm travel and cable connections.
  • Keep the unit dry and away from drinks, moisture and splashes; do not use it with wet hands.
  • Use the correct adaptor and cables; do not force plugs or use overloaded extension leads.
  • Switch off or unplug before connecting or changing audio or power cables.
  • Do not put your fingers under the platter while it is spinning, and avoid closing the dust cover while playing if it could contact the tonearm.
  • Handle the tonearm by its finger lift and use the cueing lever; fit the stylus guard when not in use.
  • Always start with the volume low and raise it gradually; limit headphone listening time.
  • Before moving it, stop the platter, secure the tonearm and disconnect all cables.

Storage and maintenance

  • Disconnect from the mains before cleaning or making basic adjustments.
  • Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid aerosols and liquids that could get inside.
  • Clean the stylus with a dedicated brush in the correct direction and avoid touching it with your fingers.
  • Keep the mat and records clean to reduce static and wear.
  • Store the unit in a dry, ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Do not place objects on the dust cover; close it when not in use to protect against dust and knocks.
  • Replace the stylus when it shows wear or frequent skipping, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • For transport or long periods without use, lock the tonearm and pack it so that moving parts cannot shift.

Usage restrictions

  • For indoor use only and in dry environments.
  • Not a toy: keep out of reach of small children and pets; adult supervision if handled by minors.
  • Do not use if there is visible damage to cables, plug, stylus or moving parts.
  • Do not open the unit or attempt internal repairs; if it fails, stop using it and arrange inspection by a qualified service centre.
  • Use only compatible accessories and spare parts (stylus, cartridge, belt, power supply) recommended for your model.
  • Avoid placing it near heat sources, open flames or on soft surfaces that could block the adaptor's ventilation.
  • Secure the cables so they do not cross walkways and avoid damaged extension leads.
