Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Finger entrapment when opening or closing, especially between the drawer front and the furniture frame.
- Furniture tipping over if several drawers are opened at once, if weight is concentrated at the front, or if someone stands on the drawers.
- Drawer falling out or coming off the runners if it is not properly secured or is pulled beyond the stop.
- Impacts or cuts from edges, protruding screws or fixings, or exposed metal runners.
- Injuries when handling bulky or heavy parts during assembly, disassembly or moving.
- Jamming due to dirt in the runners that may cause sudden jerks and loss of control.
- Warping due to moisture or excessive heat that affects sliding and stability.
Safe use
- Check that the drawer and its fittings are compatible with the furniture and are correctly secured before use.
- Open only one drawer at a time and close it fully after use to prevent trips and instability.
- Use the handle or pull; keep fingers away from the sides and runners during opening and closing.
- Observe the recommended load; distribute weight evenly and place heavier items at the back and in the lower drawers.
- For tall or narrow furniture, secure the unit to the wall before loading the drawers to reduce the risk of tipping.
- Do not force a stuck drawer; check for obstructions or loose screws before trying again.
- If the model includes assisted closing or self-closing, let it operate on its own and avoid slowing the travel with your hand near the runners.
- When installing or removing a drawer, hold it with both hands and work on a stable surface, away from the edge.
Storage and maintenance
- Before assembly, store the parts indoors in a dry place, flat, and protected from moisture and from heat sources or direct sunlight.
- Avoid stacking weight on the fronts or uninstalled runners to prevent deformation.
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards; avoid abrasive products, solvents or scouring pads that could damage surfaces and fittings.
- Keep the runners free of dust and debris; lubricate them only if permitted by the manufacturer and with the specified product.
- Periodically check screw tightness and the condition of stops and handles; replace any damaged or worn parts.
- If you need to move the furniture, empty the drawers or remove them to prevent damage and instability.
Usage restrictions
- Recommended for indoor use in dry environments, unless expressly stated otherwise by the manufacturer.
- Do not use the drawers as a step, seat or support; do not allow children to hang from or climb on them.
- Do not store unsealed liquids, corrosive substances, very hot items or anything that could spill and damage the material.
- Avoid extreme loads or unprotected sharp objects that could puncture the base or damage the runners.
- Keep drawers out of reach of small children or use safety locks if necessary.
- Do not modify the runners or remove stops; avoid replacing fittings with incompatible ones.
- Do not leave drawers open in narrow passageways to reduce the risk of bumps and trips.
