Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Burns from hot water or sudden temperature changes when opening the tap.
  • Slips caused by water spilled on the floor due to splashes or leaks.
  • Water damage to furniture or fixtures from loose connections, worn seals, or deteriorated flexible hoses.
  • Limescale build-up in the aerator/perlator that deflects the stream and causes splashing.
  • Splits or kinks in the hose of pull-out spray taps caused by twisting or rubbing against sharp edges.
  • Accidental contact of the water stream with nearby sockets or electrical appliances.
  • Risks during installation or replacement (minor cuts, knocks, accidental opening of the water supply).

Safe use

  • Ensure isolation valves are accessible and shut off the supply before installing or working on the tap.
  • Turn on the water gradually and start with cold; check the temperature with your hand before use.
  • Do not leave the tap running unattended, especially with hot water or if the drain is partially blocked.
  • Wipe up splashes on the worktop and floor immediately to prevent slips and damage.
  • With pull-out spray taps, pull the spray head straight, avoid twisting, and ensure the hose is not trapped or rubbing on edges.
  • Avoid directing the stream towards sockets, extension leads or connected appliances.
  • After long periods without use, let the water run for a few seconds before drinking or cooking to flush out stagnant water and sediment.
  • Do not force the handle or use the spout as a support point or to hang objects.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean with a soft cloth and a neutral cleaner; rinse and dry. Avoid abrasive scouring pads, concentrated bleach or strong acids, and do not mix products.
  • Periodically remove and clean the aerator/perlator and, if applicable, the pull-out spray head to remove limescale and dirt; reassemble, ensuring the seals seat correctly.
  • Regularly inspect flexible hoses, connections and the base of the tap for moisture, cracks, bulging or rust. Replace damaged parts with spare parts compatible with the model.
  • Check that the tap is firmly secured to the sink/worktop to prevent looseness and drips.
  • Protect against freezing in unheated kitchens; if there is a risk, close the isolation valves and, if possible, drain the tap.
  • If the tap or spare parts are stored before installation, keep them in a dry, clean place protected from impacts.

Usage restrictions

  • Intended for clean water in domestic environments. Do not use with corrosive liquids, solvents, oils, or water containing abrasive particles.
  • Do not install or use outdoors or in places at risk of frost without adequate protection.
  • Do not modify the product or remove internal components except as specified for maintenance by the manufacturer. Use only compatible accessories and spare parts.
  • Do not hang weights from the spout or the pull-out hose, nor use the tap to hold cloths or other heavy objects.
  • Do not connect external equipment (e.g., filters, portable dishwashers) unless the model clearly allows it and you follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not allow children to play with the tap; take special care with hot water and with taps that have a pull-out hose. Additional caution with people who have reduced sensitivity to heat.
