Paper Towel and Seat Cover Dispensers
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Dispenser falls if not securely fixed to the wall, with a risk of impact injuries.
- Finger entrapment when closing lids or operating dispensing mechanisms.
- Cuts from sharp edges or damaged parts, protruding fasteners or cracked plastic.
- Cross-contamination if refilled or used with dirty hands, or if the paper/seat covers become wet.
- Suffocation from plastic bags and packaging; increased risk to children.
- Fire: paper and bags are flammable; danger near flames or intense heat.
- Slips due to paper, seat covers or packaging on the floor.
- Breakage or jamming of the mechanism due to sudden pulls or overloading the dispenser with refills.
Safe use
- Install and secure the dispenser firmly following the manufacturer's instructions and periodically check the fixings.
- Keep the lid closed at all times and locked if it has a lock to prevent tampering and contents from falling out.
- Dispense the paper, bag or seat cover with a gentle pull, one unit at a time, without forcing the mechanism.
- Toilet seat covers: use only if dry and intact. If the product does not state it is flushable, dispose of it in the bin.
- Hygiene bags: keep them away from the face and head. After use, seal them and place them in an appropriate bin; do not use them for hot or sharp waste.
- Refill with clean hands or disposable gloves. Remove loose debris and do not use damp or damaged refills.
- Position dispensers away from direct water jets and at a comfortable height to reduce pulls and impacts.
- In the event of a jam, do not pull forcefully: open the dispenser and remove the material carefully to avoid damaging the mechanism.
Storage and maintenance
- Store refills (paper, bags and seat covers) in a dry, clean, well-ventilated place, away from moisture, splashes and direct sunlight.
- Keep keys, refills and small parts out of the reach of children.
- Clean regularly with a soft cloth and neutral detergent; dry thoroughly afterwards. Avoid abrasives, concentrated bleach and solvents that may damage surfaces and mechanisms.
- Avoid high-pressure jets or soaking the inside of the dispenser.
- Check screws, hinges, locks and dispensing slots. If you detect looseness, cracks, sharp edges or rust, repair or replace the equipment.
- Replace expired, damp or contaminated refills, and manage lost keys securely.
- Remove from service any dispenser that does not close properly or shows structural damage.
Restrictions of use
- For dispensing paper, hygiene bags and toilet seat covers only; do not store or dispense other objects or substances.
- Do not stand, lean or hang on the dispenser; it is not an anchor point or support.
- Do not use near flames, cigarettes, radiators or other heat sources.
- Not a toy. Keep children and people who require support under supervision in bathrooms.
- Installation, refilling and maintenance must be carried out by authorised washroom personnel.
- Do not handle the dispenser if you notice loose parts, sharp edges or breakages; stop using it until it is repaired or replaced.
- Do not flush seat covers or bags unless the product explicitly states otherwise.
