Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Tipping over or shifting if the playhouse is placed on uneven ground or in strong winds.
  • Falls when climbing on the roof, windows or walls, or from small porches and steps.
  • Finger entrapment in doors, windows and hinges; cuts or scratches from edges, protruding screws or splinters.
  • Risk of being locked in if the door jams; strangulation from ropes, cords or hanging decorations.
  • Overheating inside and very hot surfaces due to direct sun exposure.
  • Fire risk if candles, heaters or electrical devices are used inside the playhouse.
  • Slips on wet or leaf-covered floors; presence of mould or mildew due to damp.
  • Stings or allergies from insect nests in roofs, corners or crevices.
  • Structural failures due to deteriorated wood, cracked plastic or rust.
  • Additional risk if located near pools, ponds, barbecues or other garden hazards.

Safe use

  • Assembly by an adult following the instructions; keep children away during assembly.
  • Place on a level, stable surface, preferably soft (grass or impact-absorbing material); avoid concrete or hard stone.
  • Leave clear space around and above, away from walls, fences, branches, overhead lines, barbecues and water areas.
  • Secure or anchor as directed by the manufacturer and check stability after high winds or relocation.
  • Use under adult supervision, especially with young children; adhere to the maximum number of children and the weight limit recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not allow climbing on the roof or leaning dangerously out of windows; play only in designated areas.
  • Check before each use that there are no loose screws, splinters, cracks or insect nests.
  • Avoid ropes, long garlands or plastic bags on doors and windows.
  • Ventilate the playhouse on hot days and check the temperature of surfaces before children enter.
  • Do not introduce heat sources, extension leads, lights not intended for this use, or flammable products.

Storage and maintenance

  • Periodic inspection of joints, screws, hinges and anchors; tighten or replace damaged parts and remove splinters.
  • Clean with water and mild soap; dry thoroughly to prevent persistent damp and mould.
  • Protect the wood with exterior-grade finishes when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • After storms, check stability, roof and fixings; remove accumulated water, snow, leaves or dirt.
  • Lubricate hinges when appropriate and check that doors and windows open from the inside without sticking.
  • Keep the surrounding area free of hard objects, stones or protruding roots; renew impact-absorbing material if used.
  • Use breathable covers for long periods of inactivity and, if possible, bring the playhouse under cover in winter.
  • Store tools and loose accessories out of children's reach when not in use.

Restrictions of use

  • For domestic outdoor use; not designed for public spaces or heavy use.
  • Follow the age and size recommendations of the manufacturer; not suitable for children who cannot play independently and maintain stable balance.
  • Do not sleep inside or use it as storage when children are playing.
  • Do not modify the structure or add non-approved accessories (electrical installations, swings, slides, locks) without specific instructions from the manufacturer.
  • Do not block doors or windows with latches, padlocks or furniture when children are inside.
  • Do not use in heavy rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, ice or extreme heat.
  • Do not place next to open flames, barbecues, chemicals or areas with vehicle traffic.
  • Limit the number of children and avoid rough play, pushing or jumping from the roof or windows.
