Usage Warnings

Heater Support Brackets

Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Falls of the heating appliance due to inadequate anchors or use of a bracket not compatible with the appliance’s weight and shape.
  • Tipping or shifting on floor stands if the base is unstable or the unit is pushed accidentally.
  • Cuts and pinches from metal edges or moving parts during installation and adjustment.
  • Burns when handling the bracket or appliance while still hot.
  • Damage to electrical wiring, water or gas pipes when drilling walls, ceilings or floors.
  • Loosening, deformation or corrosion over time due to vibration, moisture or thermal cycles, which may compromise the fixing.
  • Obstruction of the appliance’s grilles or ventilation areas, creating a risk of overheating.

Safe use

  • Check the bracket’s compatibility with the type of heating appliance, its weight, mounting points and the substrate material (concrete, brick, plasterboard, timber, etc.).
  • Disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool before mounting, adjusting or removing the bracket.
  • Select fixings and anchors suitable for the base material and use all fixing points provided by the bracket.
  • Ensure the mounting surface is level, firm and free of cracks; do not install on weakened areas.
  • Before drilling, locate any electrical, water or gas services; use detectors where possible.
  • Wear protective gloves and safety goggles to avoid cuts and exposure to airborne dust.
  • Maintain the clearances and ventilation recommended by the appliance manufacturer; prevent cables or pipes from rubbing on sharp edges of the bracket.
  • For bulky or heavy equipment, carry out lifting and positioning with two people and check the final stability.
  • Tighten screws progressively and evenly; on completion, check there is no play or wobble.
  • For installations requiring structural anchors or to support high loads, consider engaging qualified personnel.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store brackets and fixings in a clean, dry place protected from moisture and salt exposure before installation.
  • Avoid impacts or deformation; do not use bent, cracked or rusted parts.
  • Clean dust and grease from contact surfaces before fastening to improve seating and tightening.
  • Check the tightness and condition of the bracket after the first few days of use and periodically thereafter, especially in humid environments or with thermal changes.
  • Inspect for signs of corrosion, cracks or play; replace damaged or worn components immediately.
  • Keep the appliance’s ventilation and access areas clear; do not stack items on the bracket.

Usage restrictions

  • Do not exceed the load capacity stated by the manufacturer or modify the bracket (additional holes, cuts or welding).
  • Do not use the bracket outdoors or in corrosive environments unless specifically rated for such use.
  • Do not install on hollow, damaged or low-strength walls without appropriate systems and anchors for that substrate type.
  • Do not use the bracket as a step, handle or grab bar, or hang additional objects from it.
  • Do not allow children to climb on or play with the installed equipment.
  • Do not place combustible materials on the bracket or block the appliance’s air or heat outlets.
  • Do not combine the bracket with accessories or equipment not specified by the manufacturer without confirming compatibility.
