Protective Screens
Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Tipping or falling due to unstable bases, uneven surfaces, pushes or draughts.
- Cuts or entrapment when handling edges, profiles, hinges or panels during assembly and transport.
- Breakage or cracking of the panel, with possible ejection of fragments and loss of stability.
- Trips and impacts caused by bases, legs, castors or fixings encroaching into walkways.
- Glare, reflections or obstruction of vision that may cause errors or accidents.
- Deterioration due to heat, flames or sparks that may deform plastic materials or damage the assembly.
- Damage from unsuitable cleaners that dull or craze the material, reducing its integrity.
- Build-up of dirt and contaminants if not cleaned properly and regularly.
Safe use
- Check the contents and follow the manufacturer's instructions; fully assemble the screen before use.
- Place it on a firm, level surface; use the provided bases and fixings; check that it is upright and stable. If it has castors, lock them.
- Keep a distance from radiators, lights, hot equipment and areas with sparks; do not expose it to open flames or equipment that emits intense heat.
- Do not hang objects on or lean on the panel or frame; do not use the screen as a guard-rail, load separator or support.
- Position it without encroaching on evacuation routes or manoeuvring points; clearly mark the bases if they are in walkways.
- Avoid placing it where it is exposed to strong draughts or wind; where appropriate, increase stability with the accessories provided by the manufacturer.
- Do not drill, cut or modify the panel or structure; use only the provided openings or cable pass-throughs.
- Clean with a soft cloth and a neutral soapy solution; test any disinfectant in a discreet area and avoid abrasives or aggressive solvents.
- Handle with suitable gloves to avoid cuts and fingerprints; transport the panel vertically, holding it by the frame where possible.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the screen clean and dry, in a ventilated place protected from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Avoid stacking weight on the panel; protect the surfaces with spacers to prevent scratches.
- Preferably store it vertically, well supported and secured to prevent tipping; if stored horizontally, place it on a flat surface with even support.
- Carry out periodic inspections: check screws, bases, castors, suction cups and joints; re-tighten if necessary.
- Immediately replace any panels with cracks, breaks, severe opacity or deformations; do not use the screen if it is unstable.
- For routine cleaning use water and neutral soap; rinse and dry. Verify the compatibility of disinfectants with the panel material.
- Keep bases, castors and guides free of dirt to ensure stability and correct movement.
Restrictions on use
- Does not replace other personal protective equipment where required.
- Not designed to withstand high-energy impacts, welding sparks, hot splashes or corrosive substances, unless expressly stated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use as a structural element, ladder, seat or point of support.
- Do not install in direct contact with flames, hobs, stoves or equipment that emits intense heat.
- Do not position it so that it blocks emergency exits, fire extinguishers, detectors, ventilation grilles or access to switches.
- Keep out of the reach of children and avoid unattended handling in environments with mobile or folding panels.
- Do not use outdoors or in wind-exposed areas if the screen is not designed for it.
