Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Cuts and punctures from the set’s tips, blades, discs and drill bits.
- Entanglement in moving parts and pinch points at couplings and chucks.
- Ejection of particles, swarf and sparks that may cause eye and skin injuries.
- Noise and vibration that may cause fatigue and discomfort during prolonged use.
- Inhalation of dust and fumes generated when cutting, sanding or drilling.
- Risk of electric shock from damaged cables, wet plugs or improper connections.
- Fire or burns from damaged batteries or components that become hot during use.
- Hose whip from pneumatic hoses, sudden disconnections, and strikes from cables and hoses on the floor.
- Kickback or sudden jamming of saws, grinders or drills.
- Overexertion and falls when handling heavy cases and sets.
Safe use
- Always wear eye and hearing protection, close-fitting gloves, and a mask or respirator when dust is present. Wear stable, non-slip footwear.
- Inspect each tool before use: casings, switches, guards, cables, plugs, batteries, hoses and fittings must be in good condition.
- Select compatible accessories in good condition; secure them firmly. Do not use cracked or deformed discs, drill bits or driver bits.
- Disconnect from the mains or remove the battery and release air pressure before changing accessories, cleaning or making adjustments.
- Secure the workpiece with vices or clamps. Keep hands away from cutting areas and use both hands whenever possible.
- Keep the area tidy, well lit and dry. Avoid loose clothing, loose hair and jewellery that could get caught.
- Work with adequate ventilation or dust extraction. Do not direct compressed air towards your body or other people.
- Observe the recommended air pressure and speed. Secure hoses and check that connections are secure before starting.
- Keep flammable materials away; sparks can ignite solvents, vapours or combustible dust.
- Take regular breaks to reduce exposure to vibration and fatigue.
- For battery-powered tools, use only the specified charger and charge on a stable, non-flammable surface, without covering the equipment.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the set clean and dry, preferably in its case, away from moisture and dust.
- Protect edges and tips with sheaths or separators to prevent cuts and damage during transport.
- Coil cables and hoses without tension or knots; protect connectors and fittings from impacts and dirt.
- Remove batteries for prolonged storage and keep them in a cool, ventilated place, away from heat sources.
- Charge batteries regularly as per the manufacturer’s instructions and remove from service if they show swelling, leaks or unusual odours.
- Clean vents and casings with a brush or dry cloth. Avoid aggressive solvents and high-pressure water.
- Inspect and replace worn, dull or cracked accessories. Do not attempt to straighten or repair damaged discs or drill bits.
- Lubricate and adjust only where specified by the manufacturer. Check periodically that moving guards are functioning.
- Stop use if abnormal sparks, unusual noises, vibrations or a burning smell appear, and inspect before switching on again.
Usage restrictions
- Intended for adult use. Keep the set out of reach of children and pets and close the case when not in use.
- Do not use the tools if you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, medication or drugs.
- Do not work in the rain, on wet surfaces or with wet hands unless the tool is specifically designed for it.
- Do not exceed the recommended pressure, voltage or speed limits. Do not bypass or remove guards or safety systems.
- Do not use incompatible or damaged accessories, nor use the tools as a lever, an improvised hammer, or for lifting people or loads.
- Do not direct compressed air at the skin or clean clothing or hazardous dust with air; use appropriate extraction methods.
- Do not transport tools connected to the mains or to the hose. Always disconnect before moving them or changing location.
- Inexperienced users should be supervised or given basic training before using the set.
