Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Burns from contact with the door, shelves, trays, and steam/hot air when opening.
  • Fire due to grease build-up, splashes or the presence of flammable materials near the oven.
  • Electrical hazard due to moisture, a damaged mains lead or plug, or improper connections.
  • On gas models: risk of leaks or poor combustion with possible presence of carbon monoxide.
  • Breakage of the door glass due to impacts or sudden temperature changes.
  • Dropping trays or heavy containers when removing them.
  • Inhalation of smoke or irritating cleaning vapours.

Safe use

  • Install and level the oven in a suitable, well-ventilated cabinet; electrical or gas connections must be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Remove packaging, ties and internal protectors before first use and check that there are no objects inside.
  • Keep the front and top area clear; do not store utensils inside the oven.
  • Use oven-safe containers and accessories; avoid sealed containers or glass that is not oven-safe.
  • Fit shelf runners and shelves correctly; use dry oven gloves or mitts to insert or remove trays.
  • Open the door carefully to let steam escape and keep your face and hands away from the escaping heat.
  • Do not cover the heating elements, walls or base with aluminium foil, full-width trays or protectors that obstruct ventilation.
  • Do not leave the oven unattended when using the grill or at high temperature; remove visible grease residues before roasting.
  • If you notice a smell of gas or unusual sparking, switch off the appliance, ventilate the area and avoid nearby flames or switches.

Storage and maintenance

  • Disconnect from the mains (and close the gas shut-off valve if applicable) and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or handling.
  • Regularly clean grease and spills to prevent smoke and fires; use soft cloths and suitable products, never on hot surfaces.
  • Keep ventilation grilles and openings free of dust and grease.
  • Periodically check the condition of the mains lead, plug, door seals and glass; on gas models, check that the hose and connections show no deterioration.
  • Do not spray water directly onto the controls, vents or heating elements; avoid abrasive cleaners on the glass.
  • During self-cleaning cycles (if the model includes them), remove accessories from the interior, ventilate the room and keep children and pets away until it has completely cooled.
  • For transport or long periods without use, clean and dry the interior, secure the door and accessories, and keep the appliance upright.

Restrictions on use

  • For indoor and domestic environments; do not use outdoors, in damp areas or in vehicles unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use the oven to heat rooms, dry clothes, sterilise objects or for any purpose other than cooking food.
  • Do not use the appliance with a damaged cable/plug, with a door that does not close properly, or with cracked glass.
  • Do not connect via multi-way adaptors or extension leads; use a fixed and suitable socket.
  • Do not place non-oven-safe plastics, grease-soaked paper at very high temperatures, or aerosols or alcohols in or near the oven.
  • Do not cook with the oven empty for prolonged periods or preheat with utensils that have non-oven-safe plastic or silicone parts.
  • Children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or cognitive capabilities should only use it under supervision and with clear instructions.
  • If a safety system is activated or an unusual odour or noise appears, stop using it until the cause has been identified.
