Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Tip-over falls when leaning excessively, sitting on the edge, or using the chair on uneven surfaces.
- Sudden castor movement on very smooth or sloped floors, and snagging on carpets or thresholds.
- Finger pinching or entrapment in levers and moving adjustment points (height, recline, armrests).
- Injury or breakage due to incorrect assembly, loose screws or deteriorated parts.
- Floor damage from unsuitable or worn castors.
- Risk of falling when using it as a step or to stand on.
- Impacts when moving while seated and colliding with desks, walls, cables or step edges.
- Deterioration of upholstery and mechanisms due to prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat sources.
- Postural discomfort if the height, backrest or armrests are not adjusted correctly.
Safe use
- Assemble the chair following the manufacturer’s instructions and check that screws and joints are secure. Keep small parts out of the reach of children.
- Place the chair on a flat, stable surface. On delicate or very smooth floors, consider a protective mat and castors suitable for the floor type.
- Make adjustments with smooth movements. To adjust the height, it is preferable to take weight off the seat. Keep fingers away from hinges and levers.
- If the model has a tilt lock or backrest tension, adjust them to prevent unexpected tilting.
- Sit centrally, with both feet on the floor. Avoid leaning on a single armrest, sitting on the edge or on the armrests.
- Move slowly when seated, paying attention to cables, carpets and thresholds. Avoid crossing steps or slopes while seated.
- For longer distances or to clear obstacles, push the chair unoccupied, holding it by the base or the seat, not by the backrest or the armrests.
- Periodically check screws, castors and mechanisms. Remove hair or threads from the castors and replace any part that is damaged or excessively worn.
- Keep the surrounding area clear to avoid collisions and do not hang heavy loads from the backrest.
- If you notice unusual noises, looseness or instability, stop using the chair until it has been inspected and the issue corrected.
Storage and maintenance
- Use and store indoors, in a dry, ventilated place. Avoid moisture, rain and exposure to the elements.
- Protect from prolonged direct sunlight and from heat sources (radiators, heaters) that can damage upholstery and mechanisms.
- Clean with a soft cloth and non-abrasive products. Avoid strong solvents. Vacuum fabrics and dry any spills immediately.
- Check and tighten screws periodically. Keep the castors clean; lubricate or replace them in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance.
- Do not stack chairs that are not designed for it. When storing, keep it upright with no additional weight on top.
- During transport, protect moving components and avoid impacts to the gas lift cylinder and the base.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a stool, ladder or platform. Do not stand on the chair.
- It is not designed to transport people or to be pushed at high speed. Use it only for sitting.
- Do not allow more than one person to sit at a time, nor sit on the armrests, the base or the edge of the seat.
- Respect the load limit recommended by the manufacturer and avoid hanging heavy objects from the backrest.
- Do not modify, drill or replace the mechanisms or the cylinder with incompatible parts.
- Keep out of reach of young children unless supervised. Do not allow play, rocking or climbing on the chair.
- Do not use on uneven surfaces, steep slopes or near stairs and unprotected edges.
- Do not use outdoors unless the product explicitly states it is suitable for outdoor use.
