  • Damage to wiring if it rubs against the blades or other moving parts.
  • Breakage of diffusers or shades with a risk of cuts from fragments.

Safe use

  • Switch off the power at the consumer unit before starting, and wait until the fan has come to a complete stop.
  • Work with a stable ladder, on a firm surface and with adequate lighting.
  • Secure fixings and brackets firmly; the assembly should not move or vibrate.
  • Route the cables away from the blades and moving parts; check that nothing rubs when the fan rotates.
  • Use only bulbs of the type and wattage specified for the kit; do not cover the light fitting or block ventilation.
  • After installation, carry out a brief supervised test to detect any abnormal noises, smells or overheating.
  • If you have no experience with electrical installations, consider having a qualified person carry out the installation.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the kit and its accessories in a dry place, protected from dust, damp and impacts.
  • Keep screws, diffusers and small parts in their bags or boxes to avoid loss or damage.
  • Before cleaning or replacing bulbs, always switch off the power and wait for parts to cool.
  • Clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive products or water on electrical connections.
  • Periodically check screws, fixings, cables and diffusers; tighten and replace anything that is loose, damaged or heat-discoloured.
  • Use only compatible spares and bulbs recommended for the kit; do not modify or drill electrical components.

Restrictions of use

  • Not suitable for outdoor use or areas with high humidity unless the product expressly states otherwise.
  • Do not exceed the maximum rated wattage or use dimmer switches that are not compatible with the kit or the bulbs.

  • Do not handle the kit while the fan is running or immediately after switching it off.
  • Do not allow children to handle the product or play nearby during installation or maintenance.
