- Fire caused by short circuits, loose connections or pinched cables.
- Exposure to moisture or water jets in unsuitable areas, with risk of electric shock or product failure.
- Diffuser (glass or plastic) breaking, with risk of cuts.
- Glare or eye strain due to inappropriate wattage or dimming; flicker if the power supply or the dimmer is incompatible.

Safe use
- Switch off the power at the consumer unit before installing, cleaning or changing a bulb; avoid working with wet hands.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use screws and wall plugs suitable for the ceiling or wall material (plaster, brick, concrete, suspended ceiling).
- Check that the fixings can support the weight of the product; if it is bulky or heavy, carry out the installation with two people.
- Before drilling, check that there are no hidden cables or pipes in the area.
- Do not cover the ceiling light with fabrics, decorations or insulation; leave the ventilation clearance specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only bulbs of the recommended type and wattage; on models with integrated LED do not attempt to replace internal components.
- Use compatible switches and dimmers when the product allows; avoid dimmers if compatibility is not specified.
- If you notice a burning smell, sparks, unusual buzzing or persistent flicker, switch off the power and stop using the product.
- In bathrooms or outdoors, choose models with protection appropriate to the moisture level and avoid direct exposure to water.
- Keep children and pets away during installation and collect screws and small parts.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the product before installation in a dry, clean place protected from impacts; keep the packaging to prevent scratches on the diffuser.
- Always disconnect the power before cleaning or adjusting the ceiling light.
- Clean the diffuser with a soft, dry cloth; do not spray cleaners or water directly onto the unit and avoid abrasive products.
- Check screws and fixings periodically; retighten if you notice any looseness.
- Inspect the wiring and housing: if you observe cracks, discolouration or signs of heat, do not use it until the issue is resolved.
- If the diffuser breaks, switch off the power, collect the fragments with gloves and replace with a compatible spare.
- If water or moisture gets inside, do not power the product until it is completely dry and has been checked.
Restrictions of use
- Do not install outdoors or in damp areas without the appropriate degree of protection indicated by the manufacturer.
- Do not use dimmers, timers, sensors or smart-home systems that are not compatible with the model.
- Do not cover the unit or block its ventilation slots; do not recess-mount a surface-mounted model or vice versa.
- Do not modify the wiring, driver or housing; do not bypass safety devices.
- Do not install on weakened ceilings or suspended ceilings without the appropriate fixings; do not hang objects from the ceiling light.
- Do not use these products as emergency lighting or safety signage.
- Do not allow children to handle the product; installation should be carried out by someone with basic electrical knowledge or by a qualified installer if you are not confident.
