- Ejection of stones, branches and other debris that may cause injury or damage windows and vehicles.
- Loss of control due to kickback or the tool snagging in branches, hedges or dense grass.
- Exposure to high noise and vibration, leading to fatigue and possible hearing loss if not protected.
- Risk of electric shock from damaged cables, wet connections or extension leads not rated for outdoor use.
- Battery hazards: overheating, fire or leakage if they are damaged, dropped or incorrectly charged.
- Inhalation of dust, pollen and particles during blowing, cutting or shredding tasks.
- Trips and falls due to cables, extension leads or pruning debris in the work area.
- Minor burns from contact with parts that may become hot during use.
Safe use
- Read and follow the specific instructions for each tool in the set before first use.
- Wear safety goggles, hearing protection, sturdy gloves, closed-toe footwear with non-slip soles and close-fitting clothing; tie back long hair.
- Inspect the area and remove stones, wires and loose objects that could be thrown or become snagged.
- Check the condition of blades, chains, line spools, guards and fastenings before starting; do not use the tool if you observe any damage.
- Always keep both hands on the handles, maintain a stable stance and work below shoulder height wherever possible.
- Disconnect from the mains or remove the battery before changing accessories, clearing blockages, cleaning or adjusting any component.
- Corded: use outdoor-rated extension leads, fully unwound and in good condition; keep the cable behind you and out of the cutting path.
- Cordless: use only compatible chargers, ensure the charging area is well ventilated and avoid prolonged unattended charging; do not use swollen or damaged batteries.
- Do not work in rain, dense fog or on wet surfaces that could cause slipping or risk of electric shock.
- Keep people and pets at a safe distance and stop the tool if anyone enters the work area.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean after each use and remove grass or sap residues; allow moving parts to come to a complete stop before handling.
- Store tools in a dry, well-ventilated place, out of the reach of children, preferably locked away.
- Protect cutting areas with sheaths or guards and store accessories and adjustment keys separately.
- Keep cutting elements sharp and properly adjusted according to the manufacturer's instructions; replace worn or cracked parts.
- Periodically check housings, fasteners, guards and cables/extension leads; do not use the tool if you detect cracks, smoke or an unusual odour.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and metal objects; avoid impacts and do not leave them installed for long periods when not in use.
- During charging, place the charger on a firm, clear surface with good ventilation and away from combustible materials.
Restrictions of use
- For use exclusively by adults familiar with the handling of power tools; not suitable for children.
- Do not override or modify guards, switches or safety systems.
- Do not use accessories or consumables that are not suitable for each tool.
- Do not work on ladders, roofs or unstable surfaces; avoid overreaching or losing your balance.
- Do not cut above head height or near power lines; take extra care in areas where hidden cables may be present.
- Do not use the tools near flammable materials or in atmospheres with airborne dust that could ignite.
- Do not carry the tool with your finger on the trigger, or leave it unattended while it is connected to the mains or with the battery installed.
