Safety warnings and precautions

Key risks

  • Slips and falls due to a build-up of water, soap or dirt around the perimeter of the pan.
  • Leaks and damp caused by faulty installation or sealing, with a risk of bad odours and flooring deterioration.
  • Breakages or cracks from impacts, overloading or uneven settlement; potential risk of cuts and loss of stability.
  • Awkward postures and loss of balance when squatting; increased risk for people with reduced mobility or unstable balance.
  • Exposure to splashes and biological contaminants if adequate hygiene is not maintained.
  • Skin or respiratory irritation due to improper use or mixing of cleaning products.
  • Blockages and overflows when disposing of unsuitable items down the drain.

Safe use

  • Keep the area dry and clear; immediately clean up water, soap or residues that may cause slipping.
  • Place your feet on the designated foot areas and avoid stepping on edges or covers.
  • Ensure sufficient lighting in the bathroom; if grab bars or support points are available, use them.
  • Flush with sufficient water after each use to aid drainage and reduce odours.
  • Do not throw wipes, sanitary towels, cotton buds or other objects; use a bin for waste.
  • Before use, visually check that there are no cracks, loose parts or abnormal movement.
  • Ventilate the bathroom during and after cleaning to disperse cleaner vapours.
  • Wash your hands after use and after any cleaning task.

Storage and maintenance

  • If not yet installed, handle the pan carefully and store it horizontally on a flat, protected surface, avoiding impacts and exposed edges.
  • Clean regularly using a soft cloth or brush and non-abrasive products; avoid metal scouring pads that may scratch the finish.
  • Do not mix bleach with ammonia or acids; rinse thoroughly after applying any cleaner and keep the area ventilated.
  • Periodically check joints, the perimeter seal and fixings; if they are deteriorated, have them repaired before continued use.
  • If you notice cracks, movement or unusual noises when stepping, stop using it and arrange repair or replacement by qualified personnel.
  • To unblock, use compatible methods (for example, a rubber plunger); avoid sharp objects or highly corrosive chemicals that could damage the glaze or pipework.
  • Check that the drain runs freely to prevent backflow and bad odours.

Usage restrictions

  • Not recommended without supervision for young children or for people with reduced mobility, frequent dizziness or recovering from injuries.
  • Do not use the pan as a step, seat or support to reach other areas.
  • Do not strike, drill or place heavy loads on the pan or its perimeter.
  • Do not pour oils, solvents, paints, strong acids or boiling water down the drain.
  • Installation, replacement and repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not remove or alter fixing or sealing elements without appropriate preparation.
