Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Burns from excessively hot water when operating the tap.
- Slips caused by puddles or splashes on the bathroom floor.
- Flooding or water damage if the push button gets stuck or the mechanism fails to shut off correctly.
- Unexpected sprays or minor injuries when working on the internals without shutting off the supply.
- Deterioration of finishes, seals and valves due to harsh cleaners or abrasive tools.
- Malfunction due to limescale and debris build-up affecting shut-off and flow rate.
Safe use
- Carefully check the water temperature before placing your hands under the flow.
- Press the push button gently and release it; do not hold it down or wedge objects to keep the flow open.
- Avoid pressing the push button repeatedly; wait for it to complete the self-closing cycle.
- Keep the drain clear while the water is running to prevent overflows.
- Wipe up splashes on the floor immediately to reduce the risk of falls.
- If the button remains depressed, the flow does not stop, or you notice abnormal noise/vibration, close the fitting's isolation valve if accessible and request inspection by qualified personnel.
Storage and maintenance
- If the product is not installed, store it in its original packaging, in a dry, clean place and protected from impacts.
- Clean with a soft cloth and soapy water; rinse and dry. Avoid concentrated bleach, acids, strong descalers, scouring pads and high-pressure equipment.
- Remove limescale periodically and gently; if the model includes an aerator or filter, clean it following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Periodically check for leaks, that fixings are secure, and that the push button returns properly.
- Before any adjustment or disassembly, shut off the water supply and operate the push button to relieve residual pressure.
- After cleaning or maintenance, verify automatic shut-off and the absence of drips.
Usage restrictions
- Intended for use only with compatible basins, WCs or urinals; do not use as a continuous supply point.
- Do not hang from, lean on or use the tap or flush valve as a support.
- Do not modify, drill or dismantle the internal mechanisms without appropriate training.
- Avoid use by minors without supervision or by persons who may require assistance.
- Do not use at pressures or temperatures outside those specified by the manufacturer, or in environments with freezing conditions or corrosive agents, unless the product is designed for it.
- Do not insert or force objects into the water outlets or obstruct them.
