Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Possible electric shock if water enters the unit or if the casing is damaged.
- Localised skin irritation or heating from holding hands too close or prolonged use of hot air.
- Exposure to high noise levels, especially in small or highly reverberant rooms.
- Risk of overheating or fire if the vents are blocked or lint and paper accumulate.
- Slips due to water dripping onto the floor around the hand dryer.
- Increased dispersion of aerosols and splashes if used with very wet hands or if the unit is dirty.
Safe use
- Shake off excess water into the basin before use and keep your hands moving at a safe distance, without touching the appliance.
- Do not insert fingers or objects and do not cover the air intake or outlet vents.
- Do not direct the airflow at the face, open wounds or very sensitive skin; stop using it if you feel any discomfort.
- Avoid splashing the unit with water or cleaning it with high-pressure jets; do not allow liquids to enter the interior.
- If you notice a burning odour, sparks, smoke, abnormal vibrations or unusual noise, switch off or disconnect the unit and take it temporarily out of service.
- To reduce noise-related discomfort, do not stay close to the appliance longer than necessary and keep children at some distance while it is operating.
Storage and maintenance
- Before installation, store the hand dryer in its original packaging in a dry, clean place, protected from impacts.
- Disconnect the power supply before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance operations.
- Regularly clean the casing and sensors with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them afterwards; avoid abrasive or corrosive products.
- Remove dust and lint from the vents; clean or replace the filters if the model includes them.
- Empty and wash the drip tray or reservoir if present, to prevent spills and bad odours.
- Periodically check that the fixings are secure and that there are no cracks or exposed cables; if you detect any damage, do not use it until it has been inspected by qualified personnel.
- Keep the immediate area clear and ensure good ventilation of the air inlets and outlets.
Restrictions of use
- For indoor use only and in areas not exposed to direct splashes; not suitable for showers, outdoor use or very humid environments.
- Do not use the hand dryer with hands covered in solvents, oils or other flammable substances.
- Do not modify or open the casing; installation and repairs must be carried out only by qualified personnel.
- Do not use if it is loose, poorly secured, broken, or if it emits a burning odour, sparks or smoke.
- Do not sit on, lean on or hang objects from the hand dryer, and do not use it to dry clothing or other items.
- Young children and people with sensitive hearing should use it under supervision or keep a greater distance due to the noise.
