Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Instability or tipping of the bath due to incorrect levelling, missing feet, or uneven support.
- Slippage of the structure if the floor is wet, very smooth, or lacks anti-slip elements.
- Damage to the bath (cracks or warping) due to over-tightening or concentrating the load at a single point.
- Damage to the floor or to the perimeter seal if the bath shifts or vibrates during use.
- Pinching or cuts to hands when handling threads, edges, or metal parts.
- Corrosion or loosening of fasteners in humid environments that reduces load-bearing capacity.
- Interference with the waste or pipework due to an incorrectly adjusted height.
Safe use
- Ensure the feet are compatible with your bath model and use all those specified by the manufacturer.
- Before adjusting, clean the support area and verify that the floor is firm, level, and capable of bearing the load.
- Adjust the height gradually and evenly across all feet until level; avoid forcing the threads.
- Ensure each foot makes full contact with the floor; use the supplied bases or anti-slip pads.
- Tighten fixings by hand and with the appropriate tool, without striking; stop when you feel continuous resistance.
- Keep fingers away from moving areas during adjustment and wear protective gloves if necessary.
- Before using the bath, check its stability: it should not rock or move when pressing on the edges.
Storage and maintenance
- Periodically check the bath’s level and the tightness of the feet, especially after moves, building work, or impacts.
- Inspect pad wear, corrosion, and damaged threads; replace deteriorated parts.
- Keep threads free of dust, limescale, and soap; if appropriate, apply a light lubricant recommended by the manufacturer.
- Avoid water pooling under the bath; wipe up splashes that could accelerate corrosion.
- Do not lift or drag the bath to move it; loosen the feet and re-level in the new position.
- Store spare feet and accessories in a dry place, away from harsh chemicals.
Restrictions on use
- For use exclusively as support for compatible baths indoors.
- Do not use if any feet are missing, if any are deformed, or if the threads do not engage smoothly.
- Do not exceed the load specified by the manufacturer (bath, water, and users).
- Do not rest the bath on soft, uneven, or surfaces with loose coverings.
- Do not modify, cut, or drill the feet or the bath to force the installation.
- Keep children and pets away during installation, adjustment, and stability testing.
- Do not use as a step, scaffolding, or anchoring point, nor for lifting the bath.
