• Deterioration of seals and irritating fumes from improper use or mixing of cleaning products.
• Tipping or detachment if the fixing is incorrect, especially on wall-hung models.

Safe use

• Check stability after installation; do not use the toilet if it wobbles, shows cracks or is leaking.
• Do not stand or lean on the bowl, lid or cistern; do not use the lid as a seat unless it is designed for that purpose.
• Lower the lid and seat carefully to avoid trapping, especially with children.
• Do not flush wipes, sanitary towels, cotton buds, condoms, dental floss, cat litter, oils or paints; use a bin.
• If you detect a leak, close the shut-off valve and dry the floor immediately; ventilate the bathroom.
• For minor blockages, use a plunger; avoid pouring very harsh chemical drain unblockers or using them excessively.
• When handling or installing, move the piece with two people, protect the edges and avoid placing weight on a single corner.
• Do not mix bleach with acidic limescale removers or other chemicals; wear gloves and ventilate during cleaning.

Storage and maintenance

• Before installation, store the toilet in its original packaging in a dry, stable place protected from impacts; do not place weight on the ceramic.
• Periodically check fixings, seat screws and the condition of seals and hoses; retighten without overdoing it to avoid cracking the ceramic.
• Check the cistern operates correctly and that there are no leaks around the base.
• Clean with compatible non-abrasive products and rinse with water; avoid scouring pads that may scratch or damage the glaze.
• Do not place tablets inside the cistern unless expressly indicated by the manufacturer; they can damage seals and mechanisms.
• Keep the bathroom ventilated to reduce condensation and mould; wipe up splashes to prevent slips.
• If it will remain unused for a prolonged period, flush occasionally to maintain the water seal in the trap.

Restrictions on use

• Sanitary use: do not use as a step, work platform or load-bearing support.
• Supervise young children near the toilet; keep the lid closed and consider safety locks if necessary.
• Keep cleaning products, hanging air fresheners and small parts out of the reach of children and pets; prevent them from drinking from the toilet after using chemicals.
• Do not install on walls or floors unsuitable for the weight or type of fixing; if in doubt, consult a qualified installer.
• Do not drill or modify the ceramic, the cistern or the supports; use only compatible accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the toilet outdoors or in areas at risk of frost unless specifically designed for this purpose.
