Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Tipping or instability when weight is placed on the edges or due to uneven floors.
- Collapse due to overloading or loose fittings in the frame or legs.
- Finger entrapment in extending or folding tables, or tables with folding legs.
- Cuts from sharp edges or tabletop breakage, especially on glass surfaces.
- Burns or fire if very hot containers or flames (candles) are placed directly on the surface.
- Unexpected movement of tables with castors with the brakes not engaged.
- Injury and floor damage when moving or dragging the table with objects on it.
Safe use
- Assemble and adjust following the product instructions; check the table is firm and stable before use.
- Place on a level surface; use non-slip pads or adjustable feet where applicable.
- Do not sit, stand or lean with your full weight on the table; avoid concentrated loads on the edges.
- Observe the maximum load specified by the manufacturer and distribute weight evenly.
- On extending or folding tables, open and close carefully, keep fingers away from hinges and ensure locks are engaged before applying weight.
- On glass surfaces, avoid impacts to the edges and do not drag hard objects; use tablecloths, coasters and heat-resistant mats.
- Do not place very hot pots or pans on the surface, nor candles without a stable, heat-resistant base.
- If the table has castors, apply the brakes when it is in use.
- To move it, remove objects, lift without dragging and, if it is large or heavy, do so with two people.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry; avoid abrasive products or scouring pads that could scratch or damage the finish.
- Wipe up spills immediately and avoid prolonged moisture to prevent warping or staining.
- Protect the surface with coasters, tablecloths and heat-resistant mats to reduce wear and heat marks.
- Periodically check screws and joints; tighten if necessary and replace damaged parts.
- Do not use the table if the top is cracked, the frame is unstable, or any fixings are missing.
- For storage, place in a dry, ventilated area, horizontally and without weight on the edges; for glass, protect with padding and do not stack directly.
- Fit protectors to the legs to avoid damage to delicate floors.
Usage restrictions
- Recommended for indoor use and dry environments, unless otherwise specified by the product.
- Do not use as a ladder, bench, work platform or for purposes other than supporting everyday items.
- Do not modify the structure (drilling, cutting, replacing screws with incompatible ones) or add non-approved accessories.
- Avoid use on very uneven floors or where strong vibrations compromise stability.
- Supervise children; do not allow them to climb, hang from the edges or operate extension mechanisms.
- Do not use if it shows instability, looseness that cannot be adjusted, cracks or sharp edges.
