Pool Cleaners

Safety warnings and precautions

Key risks

  • Risk of electric shock if the power supply, chargers or plugs come into contact with water or wet surfaces.
  • Entrapment or pinching at suction inlets and moving brushes; possible snagging of hair, drawstrings or loose clothing.
  • Trips and falls due to cables, hoses or poles around the pool edge; slips on wet surfaces.
  • Knocks or strains when lifting the equipment when it is full of water or laden with debris.
  • Damage to delicate finishes (liner, fibreglass) due to improper use, unsuitable brushes or blockages.
  • Exposure to dust and debris when emptying baskets or filters.
  • Risk to children and pets if the pool cleaner is operating in the water.
  • Additional hazard during thunderstorms.

Safe use

  • Do not use the pool cleaner with people or pets in the pool. Keep children away from the equipment while it is operating.
  • Always disconnect from the mains, the transformer or the filtration system before handling, removing from the water, cleaning or unclogging the unit.
  • Place the power unit or charger in a dry, stable and ventilated location, away from the pool edge and protected from splashes. Do not use the equipment if cables, hoses or connectors are damaged.
  • Route cables and hoses so they do not cross walkways. Do not pull the cable to remove the pool cleaner: use the handle or the intended pole.
  • Avoid placing hands, feet, hair or clothing near the suction inlets and brushes. Tie back hair and remove loose accessories before approaching the water.
  • For battery-powered models, charge only in a dry place with the equipment completely out of the water; use the supplied charger and do not charge if it is wet.
  • After intensive chemical treatments, wait for the water’s chemical levels to return to normal operating values before running the pool cleaner to avoid damage and possible irritation.
  • Do not use the equipment during thunderstorms or in low-visibility conditions that make supervision difficult.

Storage and maintenance

  • Switch off and unplug the equipment before any maintenance. Drain residual water and remove accumulated dirt wearing gloves.
  • Rinse the pool cleaner body, brushes, hoses and baskets/filters with clean water after each use to remove traces of salt and chemicals.
  • Clean and empty the filters or baskets regularly to maintain flow; avoid shaking them in enclosed areas to prevent inhaling dust.
  • Periodically check brushes, wheels, belts and hoses; replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Dry in the shade before storing. Keep the equipment in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sun, frost and humidity.
  • Coil cables and hoses without twists or knots, with wide loops to prevent “memory” and breakage.
  • For battery models, store at the charge level recommended by the manufacturer and avoid leaving the battery completely discharged for long periods.
  • Do not use pressure washers, solvents or abrasives on the equipment or the filters.

Usage restrictions

  • This product is not a toy. For adult use only. Keep the equipment and its accessories out of the reach of children.
  • Do not operate the pool cleaner with bathers in the pool or with covers installed or objects that may snag.
  • Do not use the appliance if it shows cracks, leaks, loose parts or damaged cables/hoses. Do not remove grilles or guards.
  • Do not immerse or expose the control unit or the charger to splashes. Avoid extension leads and adaptors in wet areas.
  • Do not use the pool cleaner outside the pool size, surface type or water temperature ranges specified by the manufacturer.
  • Avoid use immediately after adding large amounts of chemicals or flocculants that could clog the filters.
  • Do not drag the equipment along the ground or leave it exposed to strong sun and heat when not in use.
