Safety warnings and precautions

Key risks

  • Tipping over or shifting of the table during play or while moving it.
  • Finger entrapment in hinges, latches, castors and the folding mechanism.
  • Collapse of a tabletop if the locking mechanisms are not properly engaged.
  • Impacts with walls, furniture, lamps or glass due to insufficient clearance around it.
  • Falls caused by tripping over legs, castors, net supports or accessories on the floor.
  • Injuries when lifting or transporting the table due to its weight and size.
  • Deterioration or minor burns from surfaces becoming very hot in the sun during outdoor use.
  • Damage to delicate floors when moving the table on castors or by dragging it.
  • Exposure to strong wind or rain that can destabilise the table outdoors.
  • Risk to small children from small accessory parts or loose caps.

Safe use

  • Place the table on a flat, stable surface with sufficient clear space around it.
  • Before playing, lock the castors and check that the folding locks are properly engaged.
  • Open and fold the tabletops slowly, keeping hands clear of hinges and pinch points.
  • Folding and moving should preferably be carried out by two adults, and no one should stand between the table halves.
  • Move the table slowly, holding it by the frame; avoid pulling by the surface and lift it to negotiate steps or thresholds.
  • Do not sit, stand or place heavy objects on the tabletops.
  • Fit and tension the net without forcing the clamps; stop use if you notice any loose or unstable parts.
  • Avoid use in strong wind, rain or in draughty areas that could cause it to tip over.
  • Keep the playing area clear of drinks, cables and objects that could cause slips or trips.

Storage and maintenance

  • Store the table folded with the locks engaged and, if possible, under a protective cover.
  • Store in a dry, ventilated place away from prolonged moisture, intense direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • If stored upright, secure it so it cannot roll or tip over, and keep it out of walkways.
  • Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it; avoid abrasive products and high-pressure jets.
  • Periodically check screws, net clamps, castors and brakes; tighten or replace worn parts.
  • Keep the castors and mechanisms free of dust; lubricate only if specified by the manufacturer.
  • Outdoors, avoid leaving it unfolded in wind or rain and dry it after it gets wet to prevent deterioration.

Restrictions on use

  • Use under adult supervision when minors are nearby or during opening, folding and moving operations.
  • Do not use as a platform, ladder, workbench or seat.
  • Do not modify latches, locks or folding systems; do not remove guards or stops.
  • Do not use parts, fasteners or accessories that are incompatible with the model.
  • Do not use on sloped or unstable surfaces or in areas with traffic, stairs or edges where there is a risk of falling.
  • Do not place near open flames, stoves or other heat sources.
  • If the table is for indoor use, avoid prolonged outdoor use; if it is for outdoor use, follow the manufacturer's guidance on climate and placement.
  • Stop using it if you detect cracks, excessive play, brakes that do not lock, or any damage that affects stability.
