Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Burns from very hot liquids or steam when opening the lid.
  • Increased internal pressure and sudden ejection of contents when introducing carbonated drinks, dry ice or fermenting liquids, especially with changes in temperature or altitude.
  • Spills due to an improperly closed lid or worn seals, with a risk of soaking gear or causing burns.
  • Bacterial contamination due to insufficient hygiene or leaving sugary drinks, dairy or foods for too long.
  • Damage from direct contact with heat sources (campfires, camping stoves) that can deform the bottle or the cap.
  • Mould and bad odours due to inadequate drying.
  • Choking hazard from small parts (caps, mouthpieces, straws) in children.
  • Breaks, dents or cracks that compromise the seal.

Safe use

  • Wash before first use and after each day all parts that come into contact with the mouth.
  • Check that the lid closes properly and that the seals are in good condition before putting it in your backpack.
  • For hot drinks, do not fill to the brim; let them cool slightly and open slowly, upright and keeping the mouthpiece away from your face.
  • Do not put carbonated drinks, dry ice or fermenting liquids into sealed containers; they can build pressure and cause leaks or splashes.
  • Do not heat the bottle on stoves, campfires, in an oven or microwave, nor freeze it when completely full.
  • Avoid impacts and drops; carry the bottle in an upright, stable pocket, separate from electronic devices.
  • In the mountains or with sudden temperature changes, open the lid gradually to release pressure in a controlled way.
  • Fill only with drinking water or water that has been pre-treated to avoid health risks.

Storage and maintenance

  • Clean with warm water and mild soap; rinse thoroughly and air-dry with the lid open.
  • Disassemble and clean mouthpieces, straws and seals periodically; use suitable brushes to reach narrow areas.
  • Empty and clean as soon as possible if you have used sugary, isotonic or dairy drinks, or soups; do not leave residues for hours.
  • Allow to ventilate between uses to prevent moisture build-up, mould and odours.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources; avoid storing it full for prolonged periods.
  • Check the condition of the seals and the closure; replace worn or cracked components.
  • Avoid abrasive scouring pads or harsh products that could damage the interior, exterior or seals.
  • If it shows cracks, deformations or the closure does not seal properly, stop using it to transport liquids.

Restrictions of use

  • Not suitable for fuels, solvents, chemicals or other liquids that are not beverages.
  • Do not use the bottle to keep perishable foods at room temperature for prolonged periods (milk, milkshakes, broths).
  • Not a toy: keep out of reach of children when it contains small parts and supervise use by children.
  • Do not share mouthpieces or straws when ill; prioritise individual hygiene.
  • Do not hang the bottle from carabiners, handles or lids that are not designed to support its weight when full.
  • Do not use the product if it gives off unusual odours, shows visible mould or has loose parts.
  • Do not attempt to repair cracks or leaks with makeshift adhesives; replace the product or the corresponding spares.
