Soap Dispenser Holders and Stands
Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Holder or dispenser falling due to improper fixing, overloading or use on incompatible surfaces (especially with suction-cup or adhesive models).
- Cuts or impact injuries if the dispenser, especially glass or ceramic, breaks on impact.
- Pinched fingers or scratches when inserting or removing the dispenser from the holder.
- Slips caused by soap drips on the basin, worktop or floor.
- Deterioration of the fixing due to corrosion, soap build-up or constant moisture, with a risk of detachment.
- Damage to tiles or walls when drilling or when removing adhesive pads.
Safe use
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and check that the dispenser’s size, shape and weight are compatible with the holder.
- Use fixings suitable for the wall type; for adhesive or suction models, clean and dry the surface, press firmly and allow the full curing time before loading.
- Position the holder on a firm surface and at a height that allows comfortable use without striking taps or corners.
- Do not exceed the maximum load; take into account the weight of the dispenser when full.
- Before first use and periodically, gently check the fixing is secure and that there is no play.
- Wipe up soap and water drips immediately to prevent slips and loss of adhesion.
- Do not lean on the holder or use it as a grab handle or coat hook.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral products; avoid abrasives, metal scouring pads and bleaches that can damage finishes or reduce adhesion.
- Dry after cleaning and after splashes to minimise corrosion and the degradation of adhesives or suction cups.
- Check screws, wall plugs, suction cups and adhesives; retighten or replace worn parts as soon as you notice play or a loss of holding strength.
- Remove soap residue from the contact surfaces of suction cups/adhesives to maintain their effectiveness.
- Avoid continuous exposure to very hot steam or heat sources that may degrade sealants and adhesives.
- If it will not be used for a while, remove the dispenser to reduce the load on the fixing.
Usage restrictions
- Not suitable for supporting body weight, climbing or hanging towels or other heavy objects.
- Suction-cup or adhesive models may not adhere properly on rough or porous surfaces, on water-based paint, or on surfaces with pronounced grout lines.
- Do not install in areas prone to frequent knocks (behind doors or in narrow corridors) or near electrical sockets.
- Keep out of reach of young children if the dispenser is heavy or made of glass; do not allow them to play with the holder.
- Avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemicals (concentrated bleach, solvents) that can damage materials and fixings.
