Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Burns from water that is too hot or from sudden changes in temperature.
- Leaks at joints or hoses that may cause water damage and wet the floor.
- Slips due to splashes or puddles around the basin.
- Damage to the basin or to the tap itself due to impacts or over-tightening during installation.
Safe use
- Before installing or handling the tap, close the isolation valves.
- Observe the hot and cold water identification; set the temperature and check it with your hand before use, especially when opening for the first time.
- Open and close the handle gradually; do not force it if it offers resistance.
- After installation, check for drips at the connections and under the basin; wipe up any splashes immediately to prevent slipping.
- Do not obstruct the water outlet or cover the spout; if the flow decreases, clean the aerator according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Storage and maintenance
- Before installation, store the tap in its packaging, in a dry place protected from impacts and dust.
- Clean regularly with a soft cloth and soapy water; avoid scouring pads, abrasives, bleach and acidic products that may damage the finish.
- Remove limescale periodically with suitable mild descalers and rinse thoroughly.
- Periodically check the seals, connection hoses and fixings; replace any worn or cracked components.
- If you notice continuous dripping or a leak, close the isolation valve and resolve the issue before using the tap again.
- After long periods without use, let the water run for a few seconds to flush the system.
Usage restrictions
- Intended for indoor basins with potable water; do not use the tap with chemicals, solvents or corrosive liquids.
- Do not use as a support, grab bar or to hang heavy objects.
- Do not modify internal components or drill the tap; use only compatible parts and accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Avoid exposure to frost or unprotected outdoor environments.
- Supervise children, elderly people or anyone with thermal sensitivity when using hot water.
- If you lack plumbing experience, consider having the installation carried out by a qualified professional.
