  • Electrical hazard if the model includes a powered sensor or valve and moisture enters electrical components.
  • Deterioration or cracking due to thermal shock when pouring very hot liquids.

Safe use

  • Check the drainage for leaks and correct operation before commissioning and after any intervention.

  • Keep the floor dry: remove spills immediately and, in traffic areas, signpost wet surfaces.
  • Do not dispose of chewing gum, wipes, cigarette butts, thick paper or objects; use bins for waste.
  • Use cleaners compatible with sanitary surfaces; do not mix bleach with ammonia or with acids/descalers.
  • During cleaning, wear gloves and, if there is a risk of splashes, eye protection; ensure bathroom ventilation.
  • If it includes a sensor or electrical supply, disconnect the power before cleaning or handling and protect the components from moisture.
  • In waterless models, maintain the sealing system or cartridge as per the manufacturer’s instructions to prevent bad odours and gas backflow.

Storage and maintenance

  • Before installation, store the product in its packaging, in a dry, stable place protected from impacts; do not stack it in an unstable manner.
  • Transport and handle with care: the ceramic may chip or break.
  • Periodically check fixings, seals, diffusers and trap/seal; replace worn, loose or corroded parts.
  • Remove limescale from valves and diffusers with compatible products; rinse and dry to avoid slippery residues.
  • Address drips and leaks immediately; if necessary, shut off the water supply until it has been repaired.
  • Unblock using appropriate tools; avoid extremely corrosive products that could damage the enamel or the installation.
