Warnings and safety precautions
Main risks
- Basin falling due to inadequate fixing, unsuitable wall, or loosening over time.
- Injuries from handling heavy or sharp-edged parts, and finger entrapment during adjustment.
- Damage to tiles or the wall when drilling, with possible fragment break-off.
- Accidental drilling into hidden pipes or cables.
- Corrosion or deformation of brackets and fixings in damp or humid environments, resulting in looseness.
- Instability of the assembly if the brackets are not compatible with the type and weight of the basin.
Safe use
- Check that the brackets are compatible with the basin and observe the maximum load specified by the manufacturer.
- Check the condition of the wall and use fixings appropriate to the material (brick, concrete, reinforced panel, etc.).
- Before drilling, locate any pipes and wiring; protect the tiles and keep the area clear.
- Wear protective gloves and safety glasses when handling parts and when drilling.
- Carry out the installation with the help of another person to support and level the basin while it is being fixed.
- Tighten evenly without over-forcing, ensuring there is no play and that the assembly is stable.
- If moving a basin that is already installed, turn off the water supply and dismantle carefully to avoid damage.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the brackets and fixings in a dry, ventilated place, in their packaging to prevent impacts and corrosion.
- Keep all parts together and do not lose washers, spacers or protective caps.
- Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive or corrosive products.
- Periodically check the tightness of the fixings and the condition of the brackets (rust, deformation) and the wall (cracks, detachment).
- After an impact, overload or unusual noises, check the fixing and readjust if necessary.
- Replace any damaged or missing part with compatible spares of the same model.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use the brackets or the basin as a step, a bar to hang from, or to support additional loads.
- Do not install on walls with active damp, in poor condition, or that do not ensure a firm fixing.
- Do not modify, bend or drill the brackets; do not mix parts from different models or grades.
- Do not exceed the recommended load or hang heavy objects from the basin.
- Avoid prolonged contact with corrosive chemicals or highly saline environments.
- Keep children and pets away during installation and prevent them from hanging from the basin.
- If you have no experience with load-bearing wall installations, consider seeking assistance from a qualified professional.
