Warnings and safety precautions
Key risks
- Muscle and joint overload due to poor technique, excessive intensity or lack of warm-up.
- Whiplash or impact if resistance bands or ropes break or come loose from the anchor point.
- Falls and slips when using unstable accessories (balls, balance boards, sliders) or on wet surfaces.
- Entrapments and pinches in fastenings, buckles, adjusters or rollers.
- Impacts to feet or hands when losing control of rigid or weighted accessories.
- Skin irritation or allergies from contact with materials (e.g., latex) or from accumulated sweat.
- Tripping over ropes, bands or other accessories left on the floor.
- Damage to floors and furniture from friction, scuffs or impacts.
- Excessive compression due to poor adjustment of ankle straps, wrist straps or other straps.
- Breakage due to hidden wear in bands, ropes or anchor points.
Safe use
- Read the specific instructions for each product and adhere to the usage limits stated by the manufacturer.
- Check the general condition before each use: cracks, splits, deformations, seams and anchor points.
- Use bands and ropes only when anchored to solid, compatible points; keep clear of the recoil path and avoid stretching them beyond the recommended limit.
- Work in a clear, stable, non-slip area; wipe sweat from the floor and mat during the session.
- Start with low resistance or intensity and increase gradually; stop if sharp pain, dizziness or numbness occurs.
- Maintain controlled technique without sudden jerks; with unstable accessories, position a support nearby (wall or bar) if needed.
- Adjust straps, weights or grips so they are firm but do not cut off circulation; remove the accessory if you notice tingling or a change in skin colour.
- Wear footwear with good grip, except when exercising barefoot on a suitable mat.
- Protect the floor with a mat when using accessories that may mark, slide or strike.
- Keep other people, children and pets out of the exercise area to avoid collisions or trips.
- Keep fingers away from moving joints and fastening mechanisms during adjustment.
Storage and maintenance
- Clean accessories after use to remove sweat, dust and moisture; dry them completely before storing.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which degrade rubbers and foams.
- Avoid stretching, over-folding or twisting bands and ropes; roll without knots or sharp bends.
- Keep products away from sharp edges or pointed objects that could puncture or cut them.
- If the product includes bearings or moving parts, keep them clean and follow the care instructions provided.
- Check for wear periodically; replace without delay any items with cracks, pronounced discolouration, loss of elasticity or loose seams.
- For exercise balls, follow the manufacturer's inflation guidelines and avoid over-inflating.
- Store out of the reach of children and pets.
Restrictions of use
- Do not use as a toy or leave minors unsupervised; some accessories may be propelled or cause falls.
- Do not use to support body weight, suspension or traction if the product is not designed for it.
- Do not modify accessories or improvise makeshift anchors on doors, lightweight furniture or unstable railings/banisters.
- Do not use on wet or uneven surfaces, or near stairs, edges, glass or fragile objects.
- Avoid using weighted ankle or wrist straps during running or prolonged jumping if joint discomfort occurs.
- People with a known sensitivity to materials such as latex should avoid contact if the product contains it.
- Do not share accessories used in direct skin contact without cleaning them between uses.
- Do not use if the product shows visible damage or if you cannot ensure a secure attachment.
- Outdoors, avoid areas with traffic, abrasive surfaces or poor lighting.
