Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Baby falls due to not using the harness or having it adjusted incorrectly for their size.
  • Tip-over due to overloading, hanging bags on the handlebar, uneven terrain or when going over kerbs.
  • Unintended movement when the brake is not applied or when leaving the pushchair on a slope.
  • Finger entrapment while folding/unfolding or when adjusting moving parts such as the backrest or footrest.
  • Suffocation or overheating under covers without adequate ventilation (rain covers, blankets, footmuffs).
  • Burns from hot drink spills near the child.
  • Entanglement or strangulation with long straps, cords or hanging toys.
  • Injuries on escalators or when going up/down stairs with the pushchair.

Safe use

  • Before each outing, check that the seat/carrycot/adaptors are securely attached and that the folding mechanism is locked.
  • Always fasten the harness and adjust it with no slack; use the crotch strap if your model includes one.
  • Apply the brake every time you stop and avoid parking on slopes; use the wrist strap if your model includes one.
  • Do not hang bags or heavy items from the handlebar; use the underseat basket and respect its maximum load.
  • Negotiate kerbs and obstacles slowly, with both hands and avoiding sudden turns.
  • Keep the child and your hands away from hinges and locking points when folding or adjusting the pushchair.
  • Use only compatible accessories and fit them according to the instructions; check that they are securely attached.
  • Ensure good ventilation when using a rain cover, mosquito net or footmuff; remove them in hot weather or indoors.
  • Avoid running or skating with the pushchair unless it is specifically designed for it.
  • Keep hot drinks out of the child’s reach and away from cup holders close to the seat.
  • On public transport or near platforms, apply the brake and hold it firmly; use a lift instead of escalators.

Storage and maintenance

  • Check brakes, wheels, harness, buckles and fasteners frequently; if you detect any play or damage, stop using it until rectified.
  • Clean the fabrics according to the manufacturer’s instructions and dry them thoroughly to prevent mould.
  • Remove sand and mud from axles and brakes; lubricate moving points only if the manual advises it.
  • If the model has inflatable tyres, maintain the recommended pressure and check for punctures.
  • Store the pushchair in a dry, ventilated place, away from heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight.
  • After rain or washing, open it up and air it until it is completely dry.
  • Check that screws and rivets are secure; retighten or replace parts when necessary.
  • Replace torn textiles or worn parts with compatible spares; avoid improvised fixes.
  • Regularly verify that the fold lock and the seat/carrycot attachments operate smoothly and safely.

Usage restrictions

  • Observe the weight and height limits of the seat, carrycot and storage basket.
  • One child per seat; do not allow a child to sit on the footrest or on the handlebar.
  • Do not lift or carry the pushchair by the handlebar with the child inside to go up stairs or over obstacles.
  • Do not use the pushchair on escalators; choose a lift or stairs when necessary.
  • Do not modify the chassis or fit accessories not designed for your model.
  • Do not add mattresses or thick padding that could cover the baby’s nose and mouth.
  • Do not leave the baby sleeping unattended for long periods in the pushchair; it does not replace a safe cot.
  • Avoid exposure to intense heat or prolonged direct sun with the baby inside, especially with covers fitted.
  • Do not use the pushchair on terrain that compromises its stability (deep sand, soft snow, technical trails).
  • Do not use it if parts are missing, there are cracks in the chassis, or the brake does not engage firmly.
