Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Cuts when handling blades, discs and other sharp accessories.
- Burns and scalds from hot surfaces, steam and splashes on models with a cooking function or when blending hot liquids.
- Electrical risk due to the base coming into contact with water, or from damaged plugs or cables.
- Splashes and spills if the lid is not properly locked or the maximum fill level is exceeded.
- Movement or tipping of the appliance during kneading or at high speeds.
- Motor overheating due to blade jams, overloading or continuous use without breaks.
- Cross-contamination due to inadequate hygiene or mixing raw and cooked foods in the same jug.
- Entrapment of clothing, hair or utensils in moving parts.
Safe use
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable and dry surface, leaving space around it and keeping it away from the edge of the worktop.
- Before starting, check that the jug, lid, seals and accessories are correctly fitted and locked.
- Do not insert hands or utensils while it is running; use only the pusher or intended accessories.
- Start at low speed and increase gradually, especially with liquids or hot preparations.
- Do not exceed the fill mark; with hot or foaming liquids reduce the volume to prevent splashes.
- When opening after heating or hot blending, stop the appliance, wait a few seconds and release steam slowly, directing the lid away from your body.
- Always unplug before assembling, changing accessories, clearing blockages or cleaning.
- Keep the cable away from hot surfaces and the edge; handle the plug with dry hands.
- If you notice unusual noises, excessive vibration or a burning smell, stop use and unplug before checking for possible obstructions.
Storage and maintenance
- Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning. Do not immerse the motor base; clean and dry thoroughly all parts that come into contact with food after each use.
- Carefully remove and wash the blades, seals and lid; use a brush or cloth to avoid cuts and check that no residue remains.
- Regularly check the jug, lid, seals, blades and cable; replace any parts that are damaged, cracked, deformed or rusty.
- Store blades and discs with protectors or in secure containers, out of reach of children.
- Keep the appliance and accessories in a dry, ventilated place; avoid moisture and do not place weight on the jug or lid.
- Let the motor rest between intensive cycles to aid heat dissipation and prolong its service life.
Restrictions of use
- For indoor domestic use; not suitable for professional environments or outdoor use.
- Do not use the appliance if the lid or locking systems are missing, or if any part is damaged.
- Do not operate it with a damaged cable, a loose plug or a wet base.
- Do not use accessories, jugs or spare parts not designed for your model.
- Do not insert bones, hard fruit stones, utensils or foreign objects; very hard or frozen foods only if specified by the manufacturer.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children and pets during operation; children should only use it under adult supervision.
- Do not cover ventilation grilles or place the appliance on soft surfaces that impede heat dissipation.
- Do not move the appliance or remove the jug while the blades are spinning.
