Main risks

  • Burns from contact with the hot sealing bar/strip after repeated cycles.
  • Pinching or trapping of fingers when closing the lid or engaging the lock.
  • Cuts from the integrated blade or when trimming bags and rolls.
  • Electric shock or short-circuit due to moisture, spills, or a damaged cable/plug.
  • Risk of suffocation from plastic bags and sheets, especially for children and pets.
  • Food contamination due to defective seals, punctured bags, or breaks in the cold chain.
  • Liquids or foams being drawn into the appliance, risking damage and spills.
  • Overheating of the appliance due to continuous use without adequate breaks.

Safe use

  • Place the vacuum sealer on a stable, dry surface with space for ventilation; keep the cable away from hot or wet areas.
  • Keep hands away from the vacuum area and sealing bar during operation; allow it to cool between seals.
  • Use only compatible, food-grade vacuum bags and rolls; avoid damaged bags or reused ones with residue.
  • Do not overfill; keep the bag edge clean and dry to achieve a uniform seal.
  • Cool cooked foods before sealing; pre-freeze liquids or sauces to prevent them being drawn into the appliance.
  • If the model has a drip tray or filter, empty it and monitor its level during use.
  • Stop use immediately if there is a burning smell, smoke, sparks, or unusual noises, and unplug.
  • Check each bag after sealing (continuous closure, free of creases and leaks) and label with the date; refrigerate or freeze as appropriate.

Storage and maintenance

  • Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse the appliance or expose it to jets of water; wipe with a lightly dampened cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Regularly clean the sealing bar, the gasket and the vacuum area; remove food residues and empty the drip tray.
  • Check the cable, plug, gaskets and lid; do not use the appliance if you observe damage, looseness or deformation.
  • Store the vacuum sealer in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight; allow it to cool before storing.
  • Keep bags and rolls in their packaging, protected from dust and moisture.
  • Do not place weight on the lid or objects inside the compartment when not in use.

Usage restrictions

  • Domestic use. Avoid prolonged continuous cycles; allow pauses to prevent overheating.
  • Not suitable for use by children; keep the appliance, blade and bags out of their reach. People with reduced mobility or sensitivity should be supervised.
  • Do not use the appliance if it is wet, has been dropped, or shows visible damage.
  • Do not vacuum-seal very hot or boiling foods or those that release a lot of gases; they can compromise the seal and food safety.
  • Do not vacuum-seal hot alcoholic liquids, flammable substances, or objects with unprotected sharp edges.
  • Do not cover ventilation grilles or slots during use, nor modify the appliance or use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
