Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Steam burns and hot surfaces when opening the lid or removing trays.
- Tipping over or spilling hot water when moving the appliance during or immediately after use.
- Risk of electric shock from water contacting the base, wet plugs or a damaged cable.
- Overheating if used with insufficient water, if steam outlets are blocked or if the base is covered.
- Damage to worktops, furniture or walls due to condensation or by directing steam towards overhead cupboards.
- Undercooked food or cross-contamination if raw and cooked foods are not kept separate or cleaning is inadequate.
Safe use
- Place the steamer on a stable, level, dry, heat-resistant surface, leaving space around and above the appliance for steam to vent.
- Keep hands and face away from steam outlets; open the lid tilted away from your body.
- Use oven gloves or long-handled utensils to handle trays and hot food.
- Fill the reservoir within the recommended levels; do not operate without water or exceed the maximum mark.
- Use water only unless expressly stated by the manufacturer; avoid oils or other liquids that may splatter or foam.
- Ensure the trays and lid are assembled correctly; do not obstruct the steam outlets or cover the heating base.
- If you need to top up water during use, follow the method provided by the manufacturer and take extreme care to avoid contact with steam.
- Check the condition of the cable and plug before use; keep the cable away from edges and hot areas; unplug by pulling the plug, never the cable.
- Monitor cooking and avoid overloading the trays to allow steam circulation; ensure meat, fish and eggs are thoroughly cooked.
- Do not move the appliance while it is operating or immediately afterwards; allow it to cool before emptying any remaining water.
Storage and maintenance
- Allow to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
- Do not immerse the electrical base; wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Wash the trays and lid with warm soapy water, avoiding abrasive scourers.
- Empty and rinse the reservoir after each use to prevent stagnant water and odours.
- Descale as required according to your water hardness and rinse thoroughly before using again.
- Dry all parts and seals before assembling or storing to prevent mould and corrosion.
- Store in a dry, ventilated place and away from damp; do not place weight on top that could deform the parts.
- Periodically check for cracks, warping, frayed cables or worn seals; replace damaged parts with compatible spares from the manufacturer.
Usage restrictions
- For indoor domestic use; not suitable for professional environments or outdoor use in rain or damp conditions.
- Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children and pets; children or persons with reduced capabilities should only use it under appropriate supervision.

- Do not use it if the cable, plug, reservoir or trays are damaged or if any parts are missing.
- Do not cover the appliance or place objects on top; do not block the steam outlets.
- Do not use accessories not designed for your model and do not attempt to modify or repair the appliance yourself.
- Avoid plugging it into overloaded multiway adaptors or damaged extension leads; always disconnect after use.
- Do not place sealed containers or airtight vessels in the steamer.
- Do not operate it empty or leave it running unattended for prolonged periods.
