Safety warnings and precautions

Main risks

  • Falls and injuries due to loss of balance, sudden acceleration or unexpected turns.
  • Collisions with people or obstacles due to inattention, excessive speed or poor visibility.
  • Slipping and loss of traction on wet surfaces, or where there is gravel, sand, leaves or uneven surfaces.
  • Injuries to ankles, wrists and head when attempting jumps, riding off kerbs or tackling steep slopes.
  • Risk of burns or fire from battery overheating or use of unsuitable chargers.
  • Electrical hazard from damaged cables, wet connectors or dirty charging ports.
  • Minor finger or clothing entrapment in wheels or gaps if handled while in motion.

Safe use

  • Wear a helmet and protective gear (wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads). Closed-toe footwear with a non-slip sole.
  • Learn in a wide, smooth, clear area. Practise starts, turns and braking at low speed before riding.
  • Place both feet centrally and keep your knees slightly bent. Avoid abrupt movements and sudden acceleration.
  • Ride at a moderate speed and maintain a safe distance. Avoid kerbs, potholes, steep gradients and wet surfaces.
  • Do not use the hoverboard in the rain, through puddles, or on snow/ice. Moisture can affect control and the battery.
  • Do not carry passengers, pets or loads that alter balance. Avoid tricks or jumps.
  • If you use the hoverboard in low light, increase your visibility with reflective clothing and, if the model allows, working lights.
  • Keep your hands free and your attention on your surroundings. Avoid headphones at high volume, your mobile phone or other distractions.

Storage and maintenance

  • Recharge only with the compatible charger specified by the manufacturer. Plug in on a firm, non-flammable, well-ventilated surface.
  • Do not cover the hoverboard while charging or leave it charging unattended for long periods, especially overnight.
  • Allow the device to cool before charging if it is hot after use. Stop charging if you detect a burning smell, swelling or unusual heat.
  • Keep the charging port and cable dry. Do not charge if they are wet or dirty.
  • Clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid jets of water, harsh cleaners and solvents.
  • Check wheels, tyres and fixings periodically. If you notice abnormal vibrations, noises or looseness, stop using it until the issue is resolved.
  • Store in a dry place, away from sources of direct heat or intense sunlight. For long periods, leave the battery partially charged and check it every few weeks.

Restrictions on use

  • Not suitable for carriageways or areas with motorised traffic. Use in designated, obstacle-free areas.
  • Minors must use it under adult supervision and always with protective gear.
  • Do not use the hoverboard if you are tired, under the influence of alcohol, taking medicines that impair reflexes, or have any condition that affects balance.
  • Do not exceed the weight, speed or gradient limits recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not tow objects or hold on to vehicles. Do not use it on stairs, escalators or lifts.
  • Do not tamper with the battery, the electrical system, or make modifications that could affect stability or control.
