Main risks
- Electric shock from contact with damaged cables or plugs and from moisture at the connections.

- Damage to the unit and possible ejection of fragments when using cracked or warped discs.
- Short circuits and corrosion due to contact with liquids, condensation or very humid environments.
- Surfaces that become hot during use and may be uncomfortable to touch.
Safe use
- Place the unit on a stable, level and well-ventilated surface, leaving space around the vents.
- Keep the unit away from radiators, heaters and direct sunlight.
- Connect only to mains sockets in good condition and use the adaptor or cable recommended by the manufacturer.
- To unplug, pull the plug, not the cable. Do not use the product if the cable or the plug is damaged.
- Avoid splashes and do not place containers with liquids on top. Do not use it with wet hands.
- Arrange cables to avoid pulls and tripping hazards; do not crush them behind furniture or bend them excessively.
- Do not open or modify the player. If you notice a burning smell, unusual noises or faults, switch it off and unplug it.
- If it uses discs, insert them without forcing and avoid dirty discs, discs with loose labels, cracked or warped discs. Eject the disc before moving the unit.
- Insert and remove memory cards or USB devices gently and in the correct orientation.
- With headphones, use a moderate volume and take breaks to avoid listening fatigue.
- If the device is portable or has a battery, charge it on a hard, ventilated surface with a compatible charger; stop charging if it becomes excessively hot, smells unusual or becomes deformed.
- Keep the remote control batteries out of reach of children and pets; observe the polarity and close the cover securely.
Storage and maintenance
- Disconnect the unit before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth; do not apply liquids or aerosols directly.
- Carefully clean the ventilation vents to remove dust without inserting objects.
- If the player has an optical lens, use only the cleaning methods specified by the manufacturer; avoid abrasive tools.
- Store it in a dry, cool and dust-free place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes; after arriving from a cold environment, wait for it to reach room temperature before switching on to prevent condensation.
- If it is not going to be used for a while, unplug it, remove the remote's batteries and store the cables without tension or sharp bends.
- Transport the unit with the disc ejected and well protected against shocks and vibrations.
- Periodically check the condition of cables, connectors and batteries; replace any deteriorated component safely.
Restrictions on use
- Do not use the player outdoors without protection, in bathrooms or in other environments with high humidity or airborne dust.
- Do not cover the unit with fabrics or fit it into enclosed furniture without adequate ventilation.
- Do not place heavy objects on top or block the disc tray.
- Do not use the product if it has suffered a significant drop, liquid has entered it or it emits a burning smell; unplug it immediately.
- Do not use accessories, chargers or cables that are not compatible with the model.
- Do not use non-standard discs, discs with unusual shapes, damaged discs or discs with loose labels.
- Do not leave button cell batteries, discs or small parts within reach of young children.
- Do not use headphones at high volume while walking or travelling, as it reduces awareness of your surroundings.
- Do not attempt to open the unit or look into the interior of the optical drive.
