Safety warnings and precautions
Key risks
- Muscle discomfort or strain in the hand, wrist, forearm or shoulder due to prolonged use or improper posture.
- Cable snags and tugs that may cause tripping or dropped objects.
- Deterioration of the cable, connector or device port due to twisting, crushing or abrupt disconnections.
- Overheating, leakage or malfunction of batteries due to incorrect use, charging or storage.
- Damage from liquid spills or exposure to moisture.
- Eye discomfort when looking closely at the illuminated optical/laser sensor.
- Risk of ingestion or choking on small parts (batteries, caps, USB receivers) in children and pets.
Safe use
- Adjust your posture: position the mouse at the same height as the keyboard, support your forearm and keep your wrist in a neutral position. Take regular breaks and stretch.
- Use a stable, clean and level surface; a mouse mat can improve control and reduce effort.
- Keep the cable tidy with guides or soft ties; avoid putting it under tension or routing it through walkways or under chair wheels.
- Plug and unplug by holding the connector, without pulling on the cable or forcing it.
- Keep the mouse and your hands dry. Keep liquids away and clean up any spill immediately.
- Do not look directly at the sensor or bring it close to your eyes.
- Wireless models: use only the specified type of battery, observe polarity and do not mix new and used batteries. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- If it has an internal battery, use the recommended charging cable and stop charging if you notice odour, swelling or unusual heat. Stop using it if you notice sparking, a burning smell or intermittent faults.
- Do not open, modify or puncture the mouse or its components.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the mouse in a dry, clean and well-ventilated place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Do not place weight on top and avoid bending the cable at sharp angles. Protect the connector when not in use.
- If you will not be using it for a while, switch it off. Remove the batteries during extended periods of inactivity. Avoid storing the device with the battery completely discharged.
- Clean the casing with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and a drop of mild soap. Do not use solvents, direct sprays or abrasive products.
- Clean the base and sensor with a dry, lint-free cloth; remove dust and fibres from the feet.
- Periodically check the cable, connector and casing. If you see any damage, stop using the product.
- Replace batteries in a dry area and dispose of them responsibly if they show corrosion, leakage or swelling.
Usage restrictions
- Not a toy: keep out of reach of young children and pets. Adult supervision if used by minors.
- Do not use in damp or wet environments or where splashing is a risk (bathrooms, outdoors in the rain).
- Do not use or charge the mouse if the cable, connector or battery are damaged, swollen or very hot.
- Do not cover the device during charging and place it on a firm, well-ventilated surface.
- Do not insert objects into the wheel or slots, or force the buttons.
- Avoid low-quality adapters or extension leads that may work loose or cause unstable connections.
- Avoid using it while walking or carrying the equipment to prevent drops or impacts.
