Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Liquid spills that may cause short circuits, malfunctions or electric shock.
- Overheating or battery leakage in wireless keyboards if used improperly.
- Repetitive strain injuries or discomfort in wrists, hands and shoulders due to poor ergonomics or prolonged use.
- Trips or snags caused by loose or poorly routed cables.
- Possible skin reactions in individuals sensitive to prolonged contact with certain materials.
- Risk of ingestion of batteries or small parts by children or pets if they come loose.
Safe use
- Place the keyboard on a stable, dry surface with sufficient space to rest your hands comfortably.
- Keep drinks and liquids away. If anything is spilled, disconnect it or remove the batteries immediately and do not use it until it is completely dry.
- Connect and disconnect by holding the connector rather than pulling the cable, and avoid forcing the ports.
- Route the cable so it does not cross walkways and avoid pinching it on edges or subjecting it to sharp bends.
- Adjust height, tilt and distance to keep your wrists in a neutral position. Take regular breaks to stretch your hands and forearms.
- For battery-powered models: use the recommended type, observe the polarity, do not mix new and used batteries, and replace them at any sign of heating or leakage.
Storage and maintenance
- Disconnect the keyboard or remove the batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth; do not apply cleaning liquids directly to the keyboard.
- Remove dust and debris between the keys with compressed air in short bursts, keeping the nozzle at a safe distance.
- Dry the keyboard completely after any cleaning or spill before using it again.
- Periodically check the cable, the connector and the condition of the keys. If you notice any damage, stop using the product.
- Store the keyboard in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from moisture, dust, heat sources and direct sunlight. Avoid placing heavy objects on top.
- If you will not be using it for an extended period, remove the batteries and store them separately.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use the keyboard outdoors in the rain, in very humid areas or on wet surfaces.
- Do not open the casing or attempt to modify or repair the keyboard; you could compromise its safety and performance.
- Do not use non-rechargeable batteries in chargers, and do not expose batteries to heat, fire or direct sunlight.
- Do not use the keyboard with damaged ports, adaptors or cables.
- Keep the product, batteries and battery compartment covers out of reach of small children and pets.
- If you notice a burning smell, sparks or unusual heating, disconnect it or remove the batteries immediately and stop using the keyboard.
