Warnings and safety precautions
Key risks
- Electric shock from damaged cables, faulty plugs, or improper handling.
- Fire or overheating due to blocked ventilation, dust build-up, or the use of overloaded extension leads.
- TV tipping or falling, with a risk of injury, especially with larger models.
- Screen damage with possible release of shards and a risk of cuts if it shatters.
- Trips and tugs from loose or poorly positioned cables.
- Accidental ingestion of button/coin-cell batteries from the remote control by children or pets.
- Eye strain due to excessive brightness, glare, or an inappropriate viewing distance.
- Hearing discomfort from high volume over prolonged periods.
Safe use
- Place the TV on a stable, level surface; use anti-tip straps or wall-mount with a bracket suitable for its size and weight, fixed to a solid wall.
- Allow sufficient space for ventilation at the rear and sides; do not cover vents or enclose the unit in unventilated furniture.
- Keep the TV away from heat sources, moisture and splashes; avoid placing containers with liquids on top.
- Connect to a mains socket in good condition and avoid overloading extension leads; it is advisable to use surge protection and to unplug during severe storms.
- For moving or installing large models, do so with two people and hold by the frame, never by the screen.
- Do not insert objects or spray cleaners into slots or ports; clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly dampened, without applying pressure to the screen.
- Adjust brightness, contrast and viewing distance for greater visual comfort, and take regular breaks.
- Secure the remote's battery compartment; replace batteries with dry hands and dispose of them appropriately.
Storage and maintenance
- Place and store the TV in a dry, ventilated location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid condensation: after transport in cold conditions, wait for the unit to reach room temperature before switching it on.
- Periodically remove dust from the screen, ventilation slots and connectors; check that cables and plugs show no cuts or pinching.
- Periodically check that the wall-mount or stand screws are tight.
- If you notice a burning smell, unusual crackling, or abnormal heating, switch off and unplug the TV immediately.
- Keep remotes and batteries out of the reach of children and pets.
Usage restrictions
- Do not open the unit or attempt to repair it; internal interventions must be carried out by qualified service personnel.
- Do not use the TV outdoors, in bathrooms or other damp environments unless the product expressly states it is suitable.
- Do not place the unit on unstable furniture, near edges, on soft surfaces, or above cots and walkways.
- Do not use damaged adaptors or cables, and do not handle the plug with wet hands.
- Do not cover the TV with cloths or install it in enclosed cabinets without adequate ventilation.
- Do not use the TV if the screen is cracked, deformed, or following a heavy impact.
- Supervise children near the TV; prevent them from climbing on the furniture, pulling on the cables, or accessing the remote's batteries.
- Do not exceed the load capacity of the mount, and do not use accessories that are not compatible with the TV's size and weight.
