- Ensure water connections are secure and leak-free; do not kink or bend the hoses.
- Do not overload the drum and distribute the laundry evenly; select a programme and temperature suitable for the fabric.
- Check and empty pockets; use laundry bags for small items or those with drawstrings.

- Activate the child lock if available and do not allow children to climb on or play with the washing machine.
- Do not wash garments contaminated with petrol, solvents, flammable oils or other volatile substances.
- If there is a burning smell, smoke, sparks or a major leak, stop the cycle, unplug and close the water supply tap.
Storage and maintenance
- After use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to ventilate when it is safe to do so.
- Periodically clean the door seal and detergent drawer; remove dirt and lint residues.
- Check hoses and connections regularly; replace them if they show cracks, bulges or rust.
- Clean the drain pump filter as often as indicated by the manufacturer and remove any trapped objects.
- Descale with suitable products when necessary according to the water hardness.
- Keep the area dry; wipe up spills immediately and do not use water jets to clean the exterior.
