Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Risk of electric shock when using damaged cables, faulty plugs, or with wet hands.
- Overheating if air vents are blocked or it is placed near heat sources, with possible damage to the equipment.
- Tipping or falling due to an unstable stand, placement at the edge of the desk, or poor mounting, with risk of injury and damage.
- Panel breakage due to impacts or excessive pressure, with a possible risk of cuts from fragments.
- Eye strain from high brightness, glare, or prolonged use.
- Muscular and postural discomfort due to improper height, distance, or angle.
- Trips or tugs due to poor cable management.
- Possible discomfort in people sensitive to flickering or high-contrast images.
Safe use
- Place the monitor on a stable, level surface; avoid positioning it at the edges.
- If mounting on a wall or arm, follow the manufacturer's instructions and ensure the bracket and fixings support the specified weight.
- Leave space around it for ventilation and do not cover the vents.
- Connect only to a suitable power source and do not use damaged cables or adaptors. Switch off and unplug before cleaning or moving.
- Keep drinks and liquids away; do not handle the equipment with wet hands.
- Organise the cables to prevent tugs and trips; do not step on them or bend them excessively.
- Adjust height, distance, tilt and brightness for comfortable viewing and take regular breaks.
- Clean the screen with a slightly damp microfibre cloth; do not spray cleaner directly or use abrasive products or pressure on the panel.
- If you notice an unusual odour, smoke, sparks, unusual noises or abnormal heating, switch off and unplug immediately and stop using it.
Storage and maintenance
- Store it in a dry, ventilated place, away from moisture, dust and direct sunlight.
- Keep the packaging for transport; protect the screen and avoid placing weight on top.
- Periodically remove dust from the frame, base and vents with a dry cloth; do not insert objects into the openings or spray aerosols into them.
- Regularly check cables and plugs for cuts, sharp bends or hot spots and replace them if damaged.
- If using a wall mount or arm, periodically check the tightness of the screws and the condition of the fixings.
- During prolonged absences, switch off and unplug the monitor.
Usage restrictions
- Not suitable for outdoor use or areas with high humidity (bathrooms, kitchens or near aquariums), unless explicitly stated for the product.
- Do not use the monitor if the screen is cracked or deformed, or if the unit overheats or emits strong odours.
- Do not cover the monitor or place it on soft surfaces while it is switched on.
- Do not place heavy objects on top nor stack monitors without appropriate packaging.
- Do not open the casing or attempt to repair or modify it.
- Keep out of reach of small children and pets; supervise to prevent tipping and cable tugs.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and intense heat.
