Safety warnings and precautions
Main risks
- Electric shock from damaged cables, faulty plugs, or internal tampering.
- Minor burns from contact with hot internal surfaces after prolonged printing.
- Pinching or cuts when closing lids, handling trays, or removing jammed paper.
- Accidental exposure to toner dust or ink splashes on skin and eyes.
- Risk of overheating and smoke if ventilation is blocked or the unit is covered.
- Odours or irritating emissions during long print runs, especially in poorly ventilated spaces.
- Damage from liquid spills near the device or on the power connection.
Safe use
- Place the printer on a stable, level surface with clear space around it; do not cover vents or air outlets.
- Connect to a mains socket in good condition and avoid overloading extension leads or multi-way adaptors; switch off and unplug before cleaning or moving.
- Keep drinks, aerosols, and metal objects away; do not insert clips, staples, or crumpled paper.
- Use compatible, undamaged paper and consumables; install cartridges following the product instructions, without forcing them.
- To clear jams: switch off and unplug, allow it to cool if it has been printing, pull the paper gently in the feed direction, and avoid sharp tools.
- Do not touch internal parts marked as hot; handle only user-accessible areas.
- In case of toner or ink spills, ventilate the area and clean carefully to avoid dispersing dust; avoid using compressed air inside.
- Wash your hands after handling cartridges and avoid contact with eyes; if it occurs, rinse with water.
Storage and maintenance
- Store the printer and consumables in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep cartridges sealed until use and protect them from extreme temperatures and moisture.
- Switch the device off properly; if it will not be used for an extended period, unplug it and cover it to protect from dust without blocking the vents.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; do not apply solvents or spray cleaners directly onto the unit.
- Remove dust from slots and trays with a soft brush or dry cloth; avoid liquids inside.
- Check the power cable periodically; if it shows cuts, sharp bends, or abnormal heat, stop using the device.
- For transport, switch off, unplug, and secure trays and cartridges as per the product instructions; avoid impacts and tipping.
Usage restrictions
- Do not use the printer outdoors, in bathrooms, or other areas with high humidity.
- Do not place it on unstable surfaces or near heat sources, open flames, or flammable materials.
- Do not use the device if the cable, plug, or casing is damaged.
- Do not cover the device or place objects on top that block ventilation.
- Avoid leaving the device printing unattended for prolonged periods, especially in spaces with limited ventilation.
- Keep the product and consumables out of the reach of children and pets; if children use it, ensure adult supervision.
- Do not disassemble or modify the printer; internal repairs must be carried out only by qualified personnel.
- Avoid using it in rooms with airborne dust, strong vapours, or insufficient ventilation, especially with laser models.
